Mechanical or Marine Engineer Specialising in CE Marking, HVAC, and Technical Projects
Kalundborg, Region Zealand, DK
Department: Purification Plants Production Support
Location: Kalundborg, Denmark
Your impact begins here
As a Mechanical Engineer or Marine Engineer, you will help strengthen technical compliance, equipment reliability and production stability at our manufacturing site in Kalundborg. Depending on your experience, you will contribute your expertise in CE marking, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, or technical maintenance projects. By combining technical analysis with a practical understanding of our facilities, you will help develop robust solutions and build critical technical capabilities within the organisation.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who can turn requirements, observations and data into practical solutions. Your exact educational background is less important than the relevant experience you bring.
To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
-
A relevant technical education, such as Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or another background that has provided you with comparable technical expertise.
-
Strong experience in either CE marking and technical compliance, or HVAC systems. You are not expected to be a specialist in both areas.
-
Experience with operations, maintenance, technical projects or the process industry.
-
The ability to work systematically with technical documentation, requirements, risk assessment and problem-solving.
-
Strong collaboration and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with production teams, specialists and external partners.
-
A practical mindset and a willingness to investigate technical challenges where they occur.
Experience with maintenance projects may also make you a strong candidate, particularly if you have worked in a regulated production environment. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice, ISO 9000, LEAN methodologies, SAP or utility systems such as cooling, steam and ventilation would be useful, but is not essential.
What you’ll do
Your responsibilities will be shaped by your experience and may include:
-
Drive and participate in technical projects in close collaboration with production, maintenance colleagues, technical specialists and other stakeholders.
-
Support CE-marking activities, including technical documentation, risk assessments and compliance with relevant requirements.
-
Support the operation, maintenance and development of HVAC installations or other mechanical systems.
-
Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with production and process-support functions.
-
Analyse technical issues and follow up in the production areas to ensure that proposed solutions reflect actual operating conditions.
-
Contribute to continuous improvement, stronger technical compliance and stable production by identifying and implementing sustainable solutions.
The role combines computer-based work, documentation and coordination with regular presence in the production environment. It is therefore important that you enjoy both analytical work and a practical “go-look-see” approach to understanding technical issues.
Who you’ll work with
You will join Purification Plants Production Support, a multidisciplinary support function serving the production organisation in Kalundborg. The team brings together colleagues with expertise in areas such as mechanical maintenance, buildings and facilities, HVAC, CE marking, SAP and calibration.
You will work closely with production teams, technical specialists, project colleagues and external partners. Because understanding the facilities and production environment is a core part of the role, the position is primarily site-based in Kalundborg.
What you can expect here
You can expect a broad technical role where your expertise will have a direct influence on compliance, equipment reliability and stable production. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your specialist area while learning from colleagues with different technical backgrounds. You will work in an environment where technical challenges are addressed through professional curiosity, practical investigation and close collaboration.
