Your new role
As Medical Scientific Liaison Manager (MSLM) you will establish Novo Nordisk as a scientific leader in the cardiometabolic area by delivering high‑quality medical and scientific support to clinicians, other healthcare professionals and internal colleagues. You will translate complex clinical evidence into clear, actionable insights, build and maintain productive relationships with key customers and institutions, and lead multi‑channel scientific engagement that supports both our marketed products and future portfolio.

Day-to-day your tasks will include:

  • Identify, contact, develop and maintain relationships with key customers, KOLs and major institutions to support scientific exchange and awareness of our cardiometabolic portfolio.
  • Provide medical and scientific support, education and training to HCPs, KOLs and Novo Nordisk colleagues, including preparing and delivering presentations.
  • Facilitate and support advisory boards, symposia and educational seminars and contribute to local medical projects and strategy.
  • Generate, report and translate value-adding insights from KOL interactions to inform clinical development and commercial planning.
  • Support local clinical activities by identifying potential trial sites, assisting feasibility assessments and supporting patient recruitment.
  • Plan and execute HCP interaction strategies and professionally manage dedicated customer groups in collaboration with cross-functional colleagues.

 

Your new department
You will report to the Senior Medical Manager - Cardiometabolic and work within the Medical Affairs team in Zürich supporting Clinical Operations and the broader Medical & Commercial organisation. You will collaborate closely with MSL colleagues across regions, Clinical, Key Account Managers, CRA and Marketing & Sales to align on medical strategy and deliver local impact.

 

Your skills & qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Hold a university degree in Natural Sciences (PhD preferred) or Medicine.
  • Have ideally more than 2 years’ relevant pharmaceutical industry experience or equivalent professional experience.
  • Be able to understand, synthesise and communicate complex scientific and clinical data to varied audiences.
  • Possess excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Be self-starting with high ownership and accountability and able to lead medical projects locally.
  • Be fluent in German and English (knowledge of French or Italian is an advantage)
