Novo Nordisk is looking for a dedicated Global Patient Engagement & Advocacy Lead to drive global strategies, build strong relationships with patient organizations, and ensure the patient voice is at the heart of everything we do.

 

The Position

Novo Nordisk is seeking a passionate leader to develop and execute global patient engagement and advocacy strategies for our rare disease programs, with a primary focus on rare bleeding disorders. This role will build meaningful collaborations with patient advocacy organizations, ensuring the patient voice is integrated across Novo Nordisk and beyond to drive better outcomes for individuals and families affected by rare disorders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•  Patient Engagement & Insights: Lead initiatives to connect with patients and advocacy groups, integrating their perspectives into clinical development, trial design, and regulatory discussions.

•  Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global teams to embed patient-centricity into medical, commercial, and public affairs strategies.

•  Program Development & Execution: Design and implement patient support programs, ensuring measurable impact and alignment with company goals.

•  Advocacy & Partnerships: Establish strategic alliances with patient organizations, fostering innovative partnerships and policy-shaping initiatives.

•  Governance & Compliance: Develop robust patient advocacy frameworks while ensuring adherence to internal and external policies.

 

Qualifications

•   Bachelor’s degree required; postgraduate studies in health-related fields valued.

•   Minimum 5 years of commercial experience, including 3+ years in patient advocacy.

•   Proven expertise in patient engagement, alliance management, and capacity building.

•   Strong project management, data analysis, and change management skills.

•   Excellent communication, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic execution abilities.

•   English proficiency required; additional languages (French, Spanish, German) a plus.

•   Ability to lead by example, build interdependent partnerships, and create a culture of collaboration and teamwork that fosters open communication, constructive conflict resolution and organizational flexibility.
