The position

As Compliance Partner, you'll play a vital role in managing compliance risks in Rare Disease therapy areas, collaborating with various stakeholders in the global Rare Disease organization. This involves engagement with diverse teams including Rare Disease Medical Affairs, Commercial, Communication and Public Affairs, and Advanced Therapies/Innovative Solutions, as well as colleagues worldwide in the Global Legal and Compliance organization.

The scope of responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:

• Providing proactive, pragmatic advice on key strategic Rare Disease projects on ethics and compliance-related matters (focusing on fraud and abuse and data protection requirements);
• Identifying and assessing risks, performing gap analysis, and creating risk mitigation plans
• Helping mature our comprehensive our compliance program, including by strengthening monitoring processes and controls.
• Developing compliance guidance, tools, and best practice materials and providing engaging training to business stakeholders.
• Driving projects to improve how the Legal, Compliance, and Quality team serves our business and helps deliver on our promise to patients.

Your workplace will be in Zurich, Switzerland, but you will be expected to travel periodically to the Denmark headquarters of Novo Nordisk.

You have a genuine passion for supporting Novo Nordisk’s efforts to help patients, as well as interest in understanding Novo Nordisk’s business and where Legal & Compliance can support the company’s agenda.

Requirements:

• Law, business, or other relevant university degree
• 2-4 years of experience perhaps working hands-on with ethics & compliance in a regulated industry (with training, providing advice, project management, risk management)
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels within a global organization
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent proficiency in English (both written and spoken), with the ability to communicate complex matters in a simple and compelling way.
• Attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.

About the department
You will be part of a small, but mighty 5-person team of lawyers and compliance and quality professionals spread out over Zurich, Denmark, and Bangalore, India. The team is anchored in the Rare Disease business unit.
