Your new role

As a Business Finance Manager, you'll be at the heart of financial planning and strategic decision-making, ensuring our resources are allocated effectively to support our mission of defeating serious chronic diseases. You'll partner closely with local management and business stakeholders, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that drive lasting impact.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing Anchor Budget (AB) and Rolling Estimate (RE) processes, ensuring alignment with both short-term objectives and long-term organizational goals
  • Providing comprehensive financial analysis and management reporting that enables informed decision-making across the organization
  • Driving strategic cost management initiatives with a sharp focus on optimal resource allocation
  • Ensuring budget compliance and maintaining rigorous financial controls across departmental and central costs
  • Partnering with local management and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for value creation and operational excellence
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance financial planning methods and efficiency
  • Mentoring junior colleagues and fostering professional growth within the team

Within Novo Nordisk Switzerland, you'll join Business Finance & Analytics – a dynamic team dedicated to steering the company in financial matters and providing business insights that guide strategic decisions across the organization. Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a strategic finance professional who thrives on complexity and enjoys partnering with stakeholders to drive meaningful change, bringing advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends independently. You communicate financial insights clearly and persuasively to both local and regional stakeholders, maintain exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and compliance, and embrace a continuous‑improvement mindset that enables you to identify and implement process enhancements. Your strong cross‑functional collaboration skills and adaptability allow you to navigate dynamic financial scenarios effectively and with confidence.

 

You'll bring with you:

  • A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, or controlling roles, with proven ability to manage complex financial processes
  • Strong experience in budgeting and forecasting, with demonstrated capability to provide actionable insights to management and business stakeholders
  • Experience in finance partnering with a focus on cost controlling and strategic cost management, including resource allocation
  • Experience with Power BI is a valuable asset
