Your new role

As a Clinical Research Manager, you will play a pivotal role in executing Novo Nordisk’s
Clinical Development Centre (CDC) Strategic Plan, ensuring best-in-class trial execution, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership, scientific expertise, and operational excellence to make a real impact on patients’ lives.

What you’ll do: 

  • Execute the CDC Strategic Plan at the country level, ensuring alignment with global and affiliate priorities.
  • Assess clinical trial feasibility and allocate CRA resources based on team capabilities and trial needs.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing clinical team, ensuring motivation, engagement, and competency.
  • Ensure best-in-class trial execution, quality, and compliance through effective planning and oversight.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investigators and vendors.
  • Oversee site selection, trial initiation, and budget input, ensuring optimal use of resources.
  • Represent Novo Nordisk externally at investigator meetings, congresses, and other key clinical events.

 

Your new department

You will be part of the Clinical Development & Operations team at Novo Nordisk. Our team is responsible for running all clinical development activities, from initial trial planning to authority submission. We investigate patient reactions to new drugs, compare them to existing products, and conduct trials to ensure safety and efficacy. We provide resources, processes, and competences in Biostatistics, Programming, Clinical Reporting, Data Management, Epidemiology, and Clinical Pharmacology to support all development projects. Based in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, our team is dedicated to optimising processes, sharing knowledge, and driving innovation to make a real difference for patients worldwide.

 

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong planning and analytical skills, who brings proven leadership and people management experience to inspire and develop high-performing teams. You excel in negotiation, communication, and presentation, and thrive in a team-oriented, flexible, and results-driven environment. You are adept at managing multiple priorities, making informed decisions, and solving complex challenges, all while maintaining a high degree of trustworthiness and collaboration. As a true ambassador of Novo Nordisk’s values, you are committed to driving excellence and creating meaningful impact.

You will bring:

  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in direct line management
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical operations or clinical trial monitoring/execution in the pharmaceutical industry or CROs
  • Strong therapeutic knowledge and experience with clinical trial systems (e.g., IMPACT, IWRS, ePRO, Veeva)
  • Fluent in English and Croatian (written and spoken)
  • Valid B driving license
