Your new role

As Associate Director MRQ, you'll be the medical and regulatory voice at the heart of our Croatia affiliate, balancing scientific excellence with commercial ambition. You'll sit on the Affiliate Leadership Team, translating global innovation into local reality while ensuring every decision meets the highest standards of compliance and patient safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining and executing the local Medical and Regulatory strategy in alignment with Business Area, EUCAN region, and global objectives
• Leading Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality and Pharmacovigilance functions to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance
• Providing timely medical and scientific support to national medico-marketing strategies and promotional cycles, bridging clinical evidence with commercial execution
• Overseeing clinical trial execution and ensuring state-of-the-art drug safety performance across all activities
• Engaging with healthcare professionals, regulatory authorities and key external stakeholders to advance patient access and strengthen our scientific reputation
• Managing and developing local Medical, Regulatory and Quality teams, building capability and fostering high performance
• Acting as the key interface between the affiliate and regional/global stakeholders on all medical, regulatory and quality matters

In Croatia, you'll be part of a dynamic affiliate team working to expand access to innovative therapies across diabetes, obesity and other serious chronic diseases. This role sits at the intersection of science, regulation and commercial strategy—where your medical expertise directly influences business performance and patient outcomes.

You will be part of Novo Nordisk Croatia’s executive team, working to make a real difference for patients. Based in Zagreb, our affiliate is a hub of collaboration and innovation. We focus on delivering impactful medical driving business growth, and creating value for patients and healthcare professionals in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a commercially focused medical leader who understands that regulatory excellence and business success go hand in hand. You'll bring:

• Medical Doctor (MD) degree preferred, or Pharmacist/scientific degree with strong medical leadership experience
• Proven expertise across Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety and R&D, with solid understanding of the full product development lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to translate scientific evidence into commercial strategy and support medico-marketing initiatives
• Strong leadership experience in complex, matrix-based organizations, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry
• Strategic mindset with customer centricity and stakeholder management skills—comfortable engaging with healthcare professionals, regulatory authorities and internal business partners
• Fluent English (additional languages are an advantage)
• Track record of driving performance, innovation and compliance in equal measure
