The Position

Partner with investment level project team leadership and functional line representatives to create detailed project plans and schedules. Responsible for overseeing the project planning and scheduling processes, which includes continuous monitoring and controlling of the schedule and creating data/insights to monitoring project performance. In addition, utilize project planning to support both risk management planning and tracking as well as resource planning.

Essential Functions

  • Planning
    • Support the implementation of planning and schedule best practice across the program
    • Drive schedule management and project performance management visibility through routine reporting
    • Develop detailed project plans covering the full project scope. Drive discussions with stakeholders to ensure appropriate detail
    • Maintain and monitor investment level project plans.  Routinely follow-up with stakeholders
    • Perform critical path analysis, scenario planning to look at impact analysis
    • Partner with the Project Manager on routine Steering Team meetings to provide routine updates on schedule, risk management and impact analysis as needed
  • Risk Management
    • Lead and facilitate risk assessment discussions with Project Team
    • Follow-up on risk actions include tracking of all identified risks in the risk registrar
    • Ensure clear communication of risks up through the Project Steering Team on a routine basis (minimum monthly)
  • Resourcing
    • Leverage project level plans to establish and maintain project resourcing plans
    • Analyze scenario planning for impact on staffing plans

 

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required. The ability to climb, balance, stand, walk, and finger. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication. Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and or fingers. Lifting up 33lbs/15kg of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations. The working environment includes a variety of physical conditions including: noise, inside and outside conditions including temperatures below 32 degrees f; close proximity to manufacturing equipment, moving parts, moving vehicles, and chemicals; atmospheric conditions including: odors, fumes, and dust. The ability to function in narrow hallways and spaces.

 

Qualifications

  • Education and Certifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree with Project Planning/Management or similar background 
  • Work Experience
    • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
    • Solid experience with project management and planning work
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Knowledge of Business Processes in Manufacturing & Operations
    • Proficiency in SAP and Clarity a plus
    • Proficiency in MS Project required
    • Strong ability to analyze & think strategically
    • Attention to detail
    • Proficiency in creating & delivering charts, graphs & presentations
    • Superior written & oral communication skills with colleagues at all levels
    • Ability to establish credibility & influence with diverse audiences
    • Strong scenario analysis, problem solving & organizational skills
    • Ability to facilitate meetings in person or virtually
    • Must be comfortable communicating at all levels of the organization, including reporting to site leadership
    • Must be comfortable conducting business in cross functional and multi-cultural environment
