The Position

The Planner will drive Master Production Schedule execution for overall product line campaign management at NNUSBPI. The Planner will partner with the manufacturing and facilities groups to drive execution performance for the on-time delivery products per the approved SIOP production plan. He/she will align production plans with customer needs, ensure material availability for production, and continuously improve Logistic processes.

Essential Functions

  • Create and issue production and other schedules to NH site stakeholders
  • Completes daily OP steps and monthly SNP process steps
  • Updates data in SAP; ensures data integrity
  • Creates multi-variable production scenario model for consideration and analysis
  • Establish production plans that meet customer demands and reflect an understanding of production capabilities
  • Ensure deliveries of finished products to Customers according to requirements
  • Identify, negotiate, and resolve conflicts for material availability, capacity availability, and order promise integrity
  • Monitor actual output versus the master production plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions, including production performance to the requested production schedule
  • Maintain and develop department procedures according to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s)
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders
  • Continuously improve business support processes
  • Recommend and implement approved cLEAN tools and Flow in the plant proactively; show a cLEAN mindset
  • Through high quality communication create transparency of the supply chain
  • Act as the back-up for the site SAP APO Data Analyst
  • Assures planning activities comply with established company policies and perform all duties in compliance with global regulatory requirements, the NNUSBPI Quality Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Interact and liaise with API Coordinators
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes
  • Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others

 

Physical Requirements

0-10% overnight travel required. The ability to climb. stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and walk. The ability to pull, lift, finger, and grasp. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication. Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and or fingers. While performing this job employee work involves sitting most of the time with walking and standing required only occasionally. This position may lift up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Visual acuity to perform close activities such as: reading, writing, and analyzing; and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations. The working environment includes a variety of physical conditions, working in narrow aisles, and temperature changes.

 

Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience in planning or similar role in a process industry using an advanced ERP system, SAP preferred
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing environment including implementation of lean practices
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills; good presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and computer skills including Excel and material management systems and the ability to analyze data and structure reports
  • Knowledgeable in SAP SNP and PPDS
  • Knowledge and experience working within Master Scheduling, Materials Requirements Planning, Production Planning or Shop Floor Scheduling
  • Knowledge of Biotech/Pharmaceutical production supply chain principles and cGMPs
  • Proven process improvement and problem solving skills
  • Completion of APICS CSCP certification preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding and capability in scheduling of multiple lines/ multiple planning areas
