The position

As a Payroll & Benefits Operations Specialist with English you will provide professional payroll and benefits services to Line of Business (LoB) in EMEA region. In particular you will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end payroll process (Ireland) while ensuring accurate and timely delivery of remuneration to Novo Nordisk employees.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end payroll processes for assigned countries.
  • Cooperate closely with internal and external stakeholders (including payroll provider).
  • Respond to payroll queries escalated from HR and/or employees.
  • Provide administration of local benefits if applicable.
  • Optimise payroll operational processes in accordance with the PBO Team goals.

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need to have knowledge and savviness regarding cultural differences. Strong communication and change management capabilities as well as excellent stakeholder management skills in an international environment are also crucial in this role. Customer-centred mindset and solid business understanding as well as focus on operational excellence and delivering on KPIs are also necessary. It is also important in this role to be reliable, accurate and aware of the level of sensitivity of the data processed daily which has a direct impact on the company’s employees’ lives.

 

We expect you to have:

  • Minimum 3- 5 years’ experience in payroll processing in one or more large scale organisation
  • Preferably experience from working in a shared service centre
  • Experience with Irish Payroll, but we also value familiarity with payroll practices, regulations from other EMEA countries.
  • Experience in working with third-party payroll solution provider
  • Proficiency with HRIS such as SAP, Employee Central, as well as a strong command of MS Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately and to deadlines
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, along with proficiency in an additional language
  • A high degree of integrity, a collaborative team mindset, a willingness to travel, and the ability to effectively plan and prioritize tasks.

On a personal level you should have strong analytical skills to drive process standardization, optimisation and continuous improvements.

 

About the department

EMEA Regional Service Centre (RSC EMEA) is co-located with the Business Area office for Europe East, the Polish affiliate, DD&IT department and Clinical Development Center (CDC). With annual budgeted sales level of over 700 million DKK the company ambition is to continuously improve quality of patients’ life and bring innovation into the markets.

 

The RSC EMEA is formed by two departments – AskHR (HR administration and employee support) and Payroll, Development & Operations (PBO, project and systems management). The payroll department (PBO) delivers payroll and benefits support to countries like France, Germany, Italy, Sweden and UK.
