Your new role 

  

As a Local Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of vendor relationships and services for local clinical trial execution. Your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Managing local vendor selection, operations, and relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery. 

  • Leading strategic vendor risk management by identifying, managing, and resolving vendor-related risks and issues. 

  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance vendor efficiency, service quality, and regulatory compliance. 

  • Acting as the primary liaison between internal teams and external partners to optimise vendor activities and mitigate risks. 

  • Supporting trial teams with vendor coordination and management for Decentralised Clinical Trials (DCTs). 

  • Overseeing local vendor adherence to GCP, regulatory requirements, and quality standards to ensure inspection readiness.

Your skills & qualifications 

To excel in this position, you hold an academic degree in life sciences, healthcare, or business administration, besides a proven experience (min. 3-5 years) in clinical vendor management, contracting, or site-related collaborations in the pharmaceutical industry or CROs. Exposure with international clinical trials and diverse regulatory landscapes is highly desirable.  

Additionally, you should demonstrate: 

  • Comprehensive understanding of CRO partnerships, outsourcing models, and contract management processes.  

  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of business operations, financial drivers, and market dynamics.  

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills to foster collaboration across matrixed and cross-functional teams.  

  • Proficiency in project management principles, tools, and methodologies. . 

  • Demonstrated ability to ensure high-quality execution of vendor activities in compliance with ICH-GCP, regulatory standards, and company policies.  

  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively, resolve conflicts, and deliver solution-oriented outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
