The Position
As Legal Manager for CDC Poland, you will directly report to the Sr. Director Legal, Ethics & Compliance and Quality of the Polish affiliate and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders within CDC Poland countries. To address the increasing need for strong legal, ethics & compliance mindset, you will be expected to guide and advise CDC Poland organisation in all legal matters, including driving the integration of legal and ethical considerations in decision making for CDC Poland according to relevant governance and develop the legal plan and strategy for all CDC Poland countries.
The scope of your responsibilities includes, but is not limited to:

Provide day-to-day high-quality advice on legal related matters ensuring compliance with internal and external rules and regulations.

Develop the legal plan and strategy for all CDC Poland countries.

Serve as legal subject matter expert and sparring partner to CDC Poland countries, considering legal, ethics and compliance in decision making process.

Proactively identify, manage and mitigate legal risks across CDC Poland.

Develop proactive guidance/processes, tools and best practice materials to address local law and pharma industry requirements to supplement global policies when needed.

Ensure effective contract management.

Identify legal trends and other developments in the legal environment across CDC Poland.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you have a good grasp of pharmaceutical business, with several years of experience working with legal, ethics & compliance in a multi-country setting, and you understand the complex regulatory environment that a pharmaceutical company like Novo Nordisk operates in.
As a successful candidate, we expect you to have the following qualifications:
- Minimum of Master of Law degree or equivalent with 8+ years of experience working hands-on with ethics & compliance in a regulated industry and/or as a consultant in a top-management consulting firm.
- Strong ability to think strategically, lead and set direction in a complex and dynamic stakeholder landscape.
- Strong command of written and spoken English with the ability to communicate complex matters in a simple and compelling way.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels within a global organisation to e.g., drive and participate in global cross-functional projects and managing complex stakeholder landscape.
- Strong track record in effectively working with ambiguity – managing complexity.
- Analytical thinking and the ability to identify, define, and develop pragmatic solutions to complex issues and problems.
- High degree of independence with strong drive for change and challenging status quo.
On a personal level, you present a “can-do” approach and results-oriented attitude, which enables you to establish strong professional relations. Furthermore, you are a team-player that can also work independently and enjoy being part of a global work environment.
