Your new role
In this exiting role, you will play a critical role in shaping the medical vision and driving excellence across multiple therapeutic areas, including Diabetology, Obesity, Rare Diseases, and Cardiology.
This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, ensuring that medical affairs deliver real impact for patients, healthcare professionals, and the broader medical community. You will lead a talented team, foster collaboration across functions, and represent the company as a trusted partner to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership and foster a strong performance-driven culture through trust-based, inspirational management.
- Develop and deliver the department’s medical strategy while empowering cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure effective implementation of Central and Regional Medical Affairs Plans and oversee the Medical Education Plan.
- Lead integrated strategic medical and brand planning for all activities and projects within Diabetology, Obesity, Rare Diseases, and Cardiology.
- Represent the company externally, building strong relationships with KOLs and medical professionals, and provide feasibility input for clinical trials.
Your new department
The Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) department at Novo Nordisk is one of the most diverse and collaborative groups within the organization. From health-care-provider interactions and developing and implementing regulatory strategies, providing medical education, collecting data to support real world experience and support new product development through their life cycle. It provides clinical development, regulatory compliance, and it is responsible for medical support of marketed and non-marketed products of high quality.
Your skills & qualifications
To thrive in this role, you’ll combine deep pharmaceutical expertise with exceptional leadership and communication skills. You’ll need the ability to navigate complex therapeutic areas, build strong stakeholder relationships, and lead a high-performing team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment—all while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and collaboration.
Key Requirements
- Education: Medical doctor, Pharmacist degree or related.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in medical affairs or related roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and foster cross-functional partnerships.
- Technical Expertise: Strong therapeutic knowledge, IT proficiency (MS Office), and digital skills.
- Language & Mobility: Fluent in Polish and English (written and spoken) and a valid Category B driving license.
- Personal Attributes: High adaptability, problem-solving skills, trustworthiness, and strong communication and negotiation abilities.
