The position

As a Corporate Affairs Sr Director at Business Area East, you will:

• Lead the strategy creation process by defining both long-term and short-term business objectives and interventions aimed at fostering effectiveness andagility at the frontline - to serve more patients and outperform competition.

• Oversee the execution of agreed strategies to deliver tangible business outcomes and make a meaningful impact within the CVP area.

• Inspire and energize affiliates and business area teams to execute the strategy - through communication interventions aiming to boost employees' engagement and foster a desired culture that continually reinforces the strategy.

• Use data-driven insights to formulate strategic objectives and recommendations for management teams and drive effective cross-functional collaboration with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

• Grow teams and individuals by extending the talent pool, maintaining high engagement levels, providing coaching and feedback and offering career growth opportunities.

• Identify and establish strategic partnerships to enhance competitive advantage and drive business growth, oversee digital and IT initiatives and manage relationships with key stakeholders to create win-win situations.

• Develop and implement strategies related to company’s public image, effectively manage crises and reputational risks and leverage Novo Nordisk sustainability initiatives to enhance the company's reputation as a sustainability leader.

 

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

• 10+ years of experience in corporate affairs, public relations, communications, or a related field.

• Commercial experience required; we need a strong business savvy professional.

• Proven record of leadership and strategic planning, including matrix management experience and leading a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships and driving external affairs and communication strategies across functions or entities.

 

About the department

The Corporate Affairs team in Business Area East brings together executive office, strategy, data and insights, and our externally facing corporate functions, including communications and sustainability. This is achieved through cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders in the business area office, affiliates as well as regional and global functions. The team consists of Business Intelligence, Insights and Analytics, Communication and Media, as well as Projects and Executive Office. Our goal is to maximise the growth potential of Business Area East through a team-oriented approach, entrepreneurial mindset, and patient-centric focus, aiming to become the truly inspirational partner for stakeholders, both internally and externally.

 

As Corporate Senior Director, BA East, you will report to Corporate Vice President (CVP), BA East and lead the team of talented and engaged professionals. You will also be part of the BA East Leadership Team. The position is based in Warsaw, Poland.
