The position

As a Clinical Contracts Specialist, you will manage and execute the clinical trial contractsnegotiation activities with sites and investigators in the allocated clinical trials in compliance with local regulations, Novo Nordisk procedures and protocol requirements. You will also interact independently, establish, and maintain professional relationships with investigators, clinical site staff, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

 

Your main accountabilities will be:

• Manage commercial and contractual relationship with investigators and clinical sites to meet timelines and demands of assigned clinical trials

• Negotiate contract language and budget directly with clinical sites and investigators in line with previously accepted parameters

• Escalate changes to legal language and budget requests other than previously approved to appropriate stakeholders (Clinical Contracts & Budgets Manager, CDC Trial Manager, Local Legal/Law Firm) where required

• Secure planned execution dates of contracts, meeting timelines and ensuring all stakeholders involved are notified of the status

• Follow up the contractual process in appropriate electronic systems (e.g. Coupa)

 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you need to have minimum 3 years of experience in negotiation of clinical trial contracts with sites including public hospitals, gained from a CRO or a pharma company. You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree, a legal degree is a strong benefit.

• Team oriented personality with high degree of flexibility - close collaboration with relevant roles to ensure successful contract execution

• Excellent communication skills - able to communicate in a clear and effective way, being capable to be diplomatic and find common solutions with stakeholders

• Excellent organization and long-term planning skills

• High focus on details and at the same time maintain overview and quality

 

At Novo Nordisk we encourage cross-functional cooperation, so for this role you should be ready to come to our Warsaw office at least 1 day/week.

 

About the Department

CDC Poland established in 2019 as a part of Region South East Europe, Middle East and Africa (SEEMEA) is one of the biggest clinical organisations within Novo Nordisk. We are currently evolving as we are entering new therapy areas and broadening our portfolio of the clinical trails.

CDC Poland as multicountry organization became the backbone in clinical trials for all therapy areas, while leading five adjacent affiliates focusing on growing Diabetes/Obesity portfolio: Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia, and remaining affiliates, which continue existing trials: Bosnia, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia.
