Your new role  

As the LECQ Associate Director Lithuania, you will play a critically important role in managing legal and compliance risks and drive a strong Business Ethics mind-set among all leaders and employees. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Legal, Ethics, Compliance & Quality department and its strategies, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards, and driving a culture of quality excellence throughout the organization. 

 

Your responsibilities will also include: 

 

  • Identifying legal trends and other developments in the legal environment and share them with the respective functions in Affiliate and the Business Area Legal & Compliance Team  

  • Provide fast, effective, high quality and business-oriented legal support and advice in Affiliate key projects, litigation matters, disputes and arbitrations  

  • Setting direction on legal and compliance matters in line with the global strategies and be a trusted and solution oriented sparring partner to the affiliate and other internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Acting as a motivated and highly engaged member of the Lithuanian Leadership Team, role modelling the Novo Nordisk Way.  

  • Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and systems to meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices. 

 

Your new department 

Our mission is to ensure compliance with the essential 10 of our Novo Nordisk WAY "We never compromise on quality and business ethics". For this purpose, we provide legal support to all departments, ensure that the company acts in an ethical manner and make sure that our products reach patients in the best possible condition. 

 

In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager of Lithuanian Affiliate, be member in the Lithuanian Leadership Team. 

The range for this position is 70.000 – 120.000 EUR/gross/yearly. 

 

 

Your skills & qualifications  

As an Associate Director of LECQ, you should hold degree from law school with experience in similar position within a multinational organization, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry. You are fluent in English and Lithuanian (both speaking and writing), and you have strong business partnering and communication skills. 

 

To be effective in this role, it is mandatory to have: 

 

  • In-depth experience with Business Ethics and Compliance, preferably gained in life science industry (including Lithuanian and EFPIA codes of conduct, FCPA and Anti-bribery Act) 

  • Proven ability to effectively lead through the matrix and complexity. 

  • Genuine interest and curiosity to understand the business and where LECQ can optimally support the company’s agenda. 

  • Solid business judgment and ability to effectively interact with senior management and external partners. 

  • Approachable personality and understanding of ‘the Affiliate life’/daily operations.
