The position

 

As the People & Organization (P&O) Associate Director, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing the company's people strategy, championing organizational excellence, and cultivating a culture centred on continuous improvement and high performance.

 

In this role, you will report directly to the General Manager and be a member of the Novo Nordisk Austria Leadership Team. As a member of Leadership Team, you will act as a strategic advisor to senior management, providing insights and recommendations on organizational design, culture transformation, and workforce effectiveness to support business growth objectives. You will also collaborate closely with Business Area to drive strategic initiatives forward.

 

This position is office-based and located in Vienna, Austria, requiring presence at the office five days a week.

 

Your main responsibilities will include to:

 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive People & Organization strategy that aligns with Novo Nordisk's business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the HR function in Austria, encompassing payroll, recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and career development.
  • Enhance organizational effectiveness and performance by applying best practices in talent management, organizational design, and change management, while maintaining strong communication at all levels.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement that supports the company's mission and values.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and company policies, while fostering a safe and ethical work environment.

Qualifications

 

As the P&O Director, you should possess a strong background in human resources management, with proven experience in developing and executing people strategies that align with business goals. Additionally, exceptional leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and foster a high-performance culture are essential for success in this role.

 

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in HR, business administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR leadership roles, in a multinational company with matrix organization
  • Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of local laws, regulations, and policies related to HR and employment. Can do mind-set ability to balance people and business objectives, pro-reactiveness
  • Fluent in both German and English
