Location: Buenos Aires (Vicente López), Argentina. Field-based role with regular visits to research sites in Buenos Aires and other provinces, working remotely when not on site.

As a Clinical Research Associate, you will make sure clinical trials at sites across Argentina run safely, on time and to a high standard. You will be the main link between Novo Nordisk, investigators and site teams, protecting data quality and the safety and rights of the people taking part. As our Clinical Operations team grows, you will help deliver trials in diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular and metabolic disease – research that shapes future treatment for people living with these conditions.

What you’ll bring

You are at an early stage of your clinical research career and ready for your next step. You will bring:

• A degree in health sciences, such as medicine, nutrition, pharmacy, psychology, biochemistry or a related field.
• Early experience in clinical research – ideally from a few months to around one year – for example as a junior CRA, Clinical Trial Administrator (CTA) or in a clinical research support role, including at a CRO.
• Intermediate  English, so you can read study documentation, take part in global meetings and communicate confidently in writing.
• Availability to travel regularly to research sites in Buenos Aires and other provinces.
• A proactive, curious and adaptable approach, with the agility to work well in a dynamic environment and openness to change.
• A strong team player mindset and the motivation to keep learning and developing.
• Attention to detail, good organisational skills and a genuine focus on quality and patient safety.
  
  

Essential:

• A clinical monitoring course.
• Certification in or working knowledge of ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
• Experience with a CRO, such as IQVIA, ICON, Syneos or similar.
  
  Useful
• Curiosity about artificial intelligence (AI) and how new digital tools can improve the way trials are run.

What you’ll do

You will manage around eight trial sites, giving them the support they need to deliver high-quality studies. Your work will include:

• Conducting on-site and remote monitoring visits in line with the protocol, monitoring plan, ICH-GCP, internal procedures and local regulations.
• Protecting patient safety and data integrity by reviewing site data, resolving discrepancies and making sure adverse events are handled correctly.
• Following site performance, recruitment, retention and data collection, and acting early on issues that could affect timelines or quality.
• Applying risk-based quality management to identify, assess and reduce risks throughout the study, and keeping sites inspection-ready.
• Training and supporting site staff on protocols, systems and procedures, and managing investigational product, study supplies and essential documents, including the Investigator Trial Master File.
• Building strong relationships with investigators and site teams, and sharing site insights that help improve protocols, patient engagement and ways of working.

Who you’ll work with

You will join Clinical Operations in Argentina, a team of around 60 people, including roughly 35 monitors and seven managers. You will report to a Clinical Operations manager, who will support you closely as you build your experience.

Outside Novo Nordisk, your closest partners will be investigators, study nurses and coordinators at research sites. You may also work with ethics committees, local health authorities and vendors. Inside Novo Nordisk, you will collaborate with Trial Managers, the Study Start-up team, Vendor Managers and global trial teams, taking part in investigator meetings, CRA training and trial meetings. Together, you will keep studies moving with clarity and pace, and make sure what you learn at site level shapes decisions across the trial.
