Your new role

 

As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be responsible for driving brand leadership and commercial growth across Albania. You will play a pivotal role in developing and executing business development strategies, piloting new commercial models, and expanding multi-channel engagement.

 

This role combines marketing, sales, and strategic business development, requiring a strong focus on field execution, partnership creation, and market activation.

 

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop and scale new business models. Conceptualise, pilot, and expand innovative commercial models such as telemedicine, online selling, subscription services, integrated care pathways, and insurance partnerships
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships. Establish strong collaborations with private medical centres, technology providers, medical insurance companies, and key pharmacy chains.
  • Lead multi-channel and digital commercial expansion. Design and optimise multi-channel strategies, integrating digital platforms and direct-to-patient initiatives to ensure a seamless and impactful customer experience.
  • Drive commercial excellence and ensure full compliance. Monitor performance against strategic plans, identify improvement areas early, and ensure all activities meet ethical and legal requirements
  • Strengthen stakeholder relationships and lead field execution. Build strong, long-term relationships with HCPs, KOLs, medical centres, patient organisations, and digital agencies. Represent Novo Nordisk at congresses and events, lead activation campaigns, and work closely with the KAM to maintain key field relationships while supporting cross-functional projects.

 

Your new department

 

You will join a collaborative affiliate and work closely with key colleagues across functions. This role reports to the General Manager. You will help adapt global strategies to the local market, identify key stakeholders, and ensure successful execution.

 

Your skills & qualifications

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

 

  • 5 years’ experience in sales marketing, brand management, or business development including a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical company
  • University/Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Medicine or Pharmacy preferred).
  • Experience in marketing or business development
  • Fluent in Albanian and English.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Innovative and open to new ideas.
  • Strong collaboration skills and customer-focused mindset.
