The position
- Lead and drive strategic development and daily operation of warehouse.
- Support WH strategy to meet business requirements and ensure activities are anchored within management processes
- Drive excellent performance and management of receiving, dispatching, material handling, waste handling, stock count, and clinical trial sample, TIDC, indirect purchasing and all other processes related to warehouse.
- Drive safety master plan and activities across all WH areas
- Develop effective and measurable KPI to monitor warehouse performance and timely response for ad hoc with systematic thinking
- Resources management and ensure effective shift plan to fulfil request from STJ production and Beijing commercial through closely cooperation with relevant stakeholders
- Drive effective response for capacity challenges and being proactive of contributing ideas to mitigate capacity shortage
- Ensure WH capacity utilization and establish flexible capacity management among different types of racks.
- Vendor management and responsible, ensure vendor operation in compliance with NN requirements and regulations
- Lead and drive continuous improvement of device warehouse processes and promote LEAN culture in warehouse team
- Constantly increase productivity of WH operation processes with effective measurable monitoring developed in drug warehouse
- Ensure all necessary tools from PS PS are used effectively including performance board, process confirmation, SPS, 5S, VSM etc.
- Develop WH team with LEAN knowledge and mind-set through various initiatives such as KAIZEN and ensure daily coaching
- Constantly identify improvement opportunities of warehouse and lead improvement program with PDCA model in practice
- Owner of responsible WH projects and key player for site major investment project related to WH
- Ensure creation of WH project ideas to meet business requirements
- Responsible for overall coordination and coach on WH project together with all relevant
- stakeholders
- Ensure effective support of site major investment project including WH expansion, GSP warehouse and any other ad hoc.
- Take up the role of work package owner for processes related to WH or ensure dedicated coaching to responsible employee
- Drive quality activities of WH and strive for high level of compliance
- Ensure all quality performance are systematically managed and achieved,
- Develop KPI and ensure all performance should be monitored with measurable data
- Implement gap analysis from quality and compliance perspective and drive activities towards high level of compliance
- Continuously improve audit and inspection readiness and ensure WH ready for audit at any moment
- Drive safety culture and work in compliance with ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001
- Constantly enhance safety PC system and increase safety awareness
- Ensure ownership of WH safety and take part in all EHS processes, e.g. WPA, safety walk
- Department management and development, with budget planning responsibilities
- Lead department with high integrity and act as role model creating a trustful culture.
- Behave as a role model representing Novo Nordisk Way
- Establish and follow up on department budget
- Ensure high performing team, delivering according to plans and developing according to the overall mission and strategy of STJ
- Line management including ensuring that JD and IDP’s are consistent with the goals of department
Qualifications
- College education background and above, major in pharmaceutical, management, Logistic, Statistical and other related area.
- Good English spoken and written
- 8+ years management experience in a GMP warehouse and supply chain related area, multinational pharmaceutical company is preferred
- Strong LEAN knowledge and experience of optimization to meet business needs
- Strong competence on risk management and project management
- Masters of SAP and ERP
