The position

  • Data Analysis and Insight Provision:

Design and execute complex data analyses using advanced SQL and programming languages to deeply mine business data, identifying correlations and patterns.

Create intuitive reports and dashboards using data visualization tools to support business decision-making and convey analysis results through data storytelling.

Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of data analysis activities by monitoring and validating data quality, addressing biases, and quality issues.

  • Data Architecture and Performance Optimization:

Participate in the design and implementation of data warehouse and data lake solutions to support complex data analysis needs.

Automate data processes and continuous integration using DevOps methodologies and tools to improve data processing efficiency.

Perform data system performance tuning and optimization, analyzing and resolving potential bottlenecks to ensure high performance and stability of data processing.

  • Technical Research and Frontier Exploration:

Continuously research and evaluate new big data tools and technologies, implementing appropriate technologies based on business needs.

Explore and practice front-end development technologies, especially modern web technologies like React, to support interactive presentation of data analysis results.

Lead technology selection and tool evaluation to ensure the chosen technologies effectively support data analysis projects and business requirements.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Project Management:

Work closely with business departments to understand their needs, ensuring data analysis projects address real business problems and promote data-driven decision-making.

Manage data analysis projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes and smooth integration into existing processes.

Lead and guide project teams in an agile/SCRUM/DevOps team environment to ensure the achievement of project goals.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English

Certifications in Project Management (PMP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) are a plus

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably with data analysis experience in the biopharmaceutical or related industries.
  • Proven ability to conduct complex data analysis and modeling on large data sets.
  • Strong at designing and creating data reports using various reporting tools to help LoB make decisions by applying statistical analysis and use data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, MS Excel etc. to glean meaningful insights for given dataset.
  • Rich experience on Data warehouse and Data Lake solutions
  • Advanced SQL knowledge and experience of working with relational and non-relational databases, familiarity with a variety of databases, e.g. MSSql, Mysql, postgreSql, Cassandra and HBase; CosmosDB; MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch/ELK, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of DevOps and methodologies and tools using GIT, CI/CD
  • Practical experience in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problem analysis.
  • Familiar with Integration Design; Layered Architecture, Design patterns,DDD/TDD,etc.
  • Rich Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Flink, etc
  • Expert of object-oriented/script programming languages, e.g. Java, Scala, Python, Node, Javascript,etc.
  • Hands-on experience with front-end development is a big plus, e.g. html5, css3, javascript, jquery, vue, three.js, React, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML in following areas is a big plus, CV, NLP, Time-Series, familiar with open-source tools like, scikit-learn, tensorflow, pytorch,etc.
