The position
Key areas of responsibility :
- Manage the benchmarking, administration, monitoring, & maintenance of rewards & employee benefits programs in APAC RSC supporting countries. Responsible for the execution of reward & benefit, procedures & practices. Supports strategy for benefits plan design in collaboration with TR COE and local HR. Ensures compliance with current & future regulatory requirements.
- Manage the employee learning support in close collaboration with TM COE and local HR.
Main job tasks :
- Leads & manages Rewards Operations APAC SSC Team: Rewards, Employee activities, Training support
- Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight to:
- Rewards and benefit operations
- Salary benchmarking data collection
- Learning support
- APAC Rewards Operations annual budget responsibility
- Rewards and learning related vendor mgmt. making sure their service delivery level and compliance requirements.
- Responsible for administration of health & welfare benefit plans, including vendor management of 3rd party administrators.
- Ensure Legal compliance.
- Support Audits; internal & external.
- Serve as APAC representative to benefits providers, consultants & corporate.
- Manage team member performance and engagement level.
- Drive team continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education:
BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education & experience.
Professional experience
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with subject matter expertise in a compensation & benefits environment.
- A minimum of 3 years management experience.
- Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge & experience in the area of employee compensation & benefits.
- Extensive knowledge of government regulations application to wages & benefits.
- Ability to negotiate with benefits providers to be able to offer competitive benefits
- Thorough knowledge of laws affecting rewards and benefit programs.
Organization/Planning:
- Proven expertise in organizing information & resources to prepare surveys, reports, & data needed to support compensation & benefits for the organization. Demonstrated ability to apply attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to manage complex processes & diverse teams.
Leadership:
- Builds strong working relationships, able to lead & develop individuals through example.
- Participative/Supporting/Coaching: Actively participates in team activities, supports ideas/actions of others, uses appreciative feedback style to coach others in how to “make their idea even better.”

- Understands who the customer (internal/external) is, understands the customers’ requirements, understands the processes that generate products/services that meet the customers’ requirements.
