Job Summary:

 

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and relevant stakeholders in the medical community. The MSL will involve strategic planning and execution of scientific communication and engagement initiatives in line with company policies and strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain and implement key opinion leader engagement plans                                                                                                                                                
  • Scientific information exchange with key opinion leaders and health care professionals
  • Gain and share relevant clinical insights and scientific intelligence with key stakeholders
  • Support to respond to unsolicited requests from health care professionals
  • Support company sponsored research and interaction with scientific experts for opportunities of investigator-sponsored studies
  • Support scientific presentations/symposia/events/activities and engage key opinion leaders for advisory board
  • Provide scientific supports and align with cross functional team for the product strategy
  • Support internal trainings/events
  • Acts as a representative of the Medical Affairs department in scientific meetings, symposia, and advisory boards, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s communication strategy.
  • Operates with a high degree of independence while coordinating closely with stakeholders to ensure consistency and compliance with corporate objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Master, PharmD, MD, or PhD in a medically related field (life sciences, pharmacy, or medicine related)
  • At least 1 year working experience of pharmaceutical/biotech industry (experience in Medical Affairs, MKT, Sales, clinical operation is preferred)
  • Proven ability to engage with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrates the understanding of medical science, clinical trial data, and therapeutic areas with the experience in scientific communication
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong customer/patient centric and science based
  • Solutions orientated, anticipates opportunities, challenges and offers solutions
  • Good presentation skills in both scientific and non-scientific fields     
  • Strong team-work ability
  • Fluent English at communication
