About the job
- Develop and implement public affairs strategies - Create and execute comprehensive public affairs plans to support corporate objectives and enhance the organisation's public image.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders - Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, industry groups, and other external stakeholders to advance the organisation's interests.
- Monitor and influence public policy - Track relevant legislative and regulatory developments, and advocate for policies that benefit the organisation through strategic communication and lobbying efforts.
- Enhance corporate reputation - Develop and implement communication strategies to positively influence public perception and protect the organisation's reputation during crises.
- Coordinate community engagement initiatives - Plan and execute community outreach programmes to address social, economic, and environmental challenges, and promote the organisation's image in a positive way.
Qualifications
- Policy Analysis: Proficient in analysing and interpreting government policies and regulations to assess their impact on the organisation and develop appropriate response strategies.
- Government Relations: Skilled in navigating and influencing government policies and legislative processes to create a favorable regulatory and economic environment for the organisation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Expertise in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, shareholders, and advocacy groups, to support the organisation's objectives.
- Strategic Communication: Ability to craft and deliver messages that align with the organisation's goals and resonate with diverse external audiences, including the public, government officials, and investors.
- Advocacy: Ability to advocate effectively on behalf of the organisation's interests, both publicly and privately, to influence public opinion and policy decisions.
- Public Relations Expertise: Proficiency in managing the organisation's public image and reputation through effective media relations, crisis management, and community engagement strategies.
