At Novo Nordisk Taiwan we are looking for an (Associate) Director, Medical, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance to help lead a paradigm shift in chronic disease management driven by one of the most transformative therapies in modern medicine — semaglutide — and one of the greatest opportunities to deliver the Healthy Taiwan aspirations. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll shape how we bring life-changing treatments to patients while building strong partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem.
Your Role
As (Associate) Director, Medical, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, you'll lead the strategic direction and operational excellence of our Medical, Regulatory, and Pharmacovigilance function in Taiwan. The key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the creation and execution of comprehensive medical, regulatory affairs, and pharmacovigilance strategy, drive strategic alignment across product portfolios
- Drive high-impact scientific engagement with professional societies, thought leaders and digital opinion leaders to elevate the global narrative around our therapeutic areas for long-term business success and patients’ benefits
- Serve as the affiliate’s key medical spokesperson and primary medical representative with governmental agencies, professional associations, industry organizations, special interest groups, relevant media groups, and the healthcare community at large
- Establish strong working relationships and communications with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals and priorities in a collaborative manner
- Drive operational excellence in full compliance with corporate and legal requirements to support new business opportunities and strategic priorities
- Lead the team with an entrepreneurial mindset and spirit. Inspire the team to explore, innovate and test in unknown territories
- Develop and lead the team through performance management, coaching and continuous training to upskill and build competencies
- Work according to business ethic procedures, local law, NNWay and NN policies and guidelines
- Serve as a member of the Taiwan Leadership Team and provide strategic insight and drive cross-functional collaboration
Education requirements
- Master, PhD, or MD preferred
Work experience
- 10+ years of experience in a Medical function in the health care industry, with proven business acumen
- Experience in regulatory or pharmacovigilance is a plus
- Experience leading manager-of-managers or very senior teams, with strong stakeholder management skills
- Extensive experience in leading and influencing cross-functional teams of experts, and ability to engage and influence senior executives in a clear and concise manner
- Regional or multi-country exposure is a plus
- Pharma + Consumer / OTC exposure is a plus

- Proven ability to master complex issues into business opportunities with clear strategies and accelerate time-to-market
- Exceptional scientific communication, analytical thinking, and presentation skills—with the ability to distill complex data into clear, compelling narratives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English
- High level of strategic thinking, business acumen, strong analytical skills combined with critical and creative thinking.
- Good leadership and effective to coach and mentor
