Your new role

The position is temporary (maternity cover)

You will be based in Sofia and covering Sofia and part of Bulgaria. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Drive and maintain deep scientific understanding of cardiometabolic diseases and Novo Nordisk portfolio, supporting both marketed products and development projects.
  • Communicate up-to-date medical knowledge, clinical trial data, and evidence-based insights to internal and external stakeholders in a compliant manner.
  • Build, develop, and sustain strategic partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Digital Opinion Leaders (DoLs), Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), investigators, and healthcare decision-makers.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of Medical Affairs strategy, including identification of research opportunities, clinical trial sites, and emerging scientific needs.
  • Provide field-based scientific support for marketed products, ongoing clinical trials, and unsolicited medical requests across the assigned territory.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver scientific and educational programs, workshops, and training initiatives for both internal teams and external customers.
  • Represent the Novo Nordisk Way, ensuring all activities reflect company values, ethical standards, and commitment to high-quality scientific exchange.

The Bulgarian affiliate is a fast growing and dynamic organization aiming to cement Novo Nordisk’s position on the market. We are launching new products, making them more accessible to patients, and we are also aligned with our own long-term commitments to a healthier Bulgaria. The Medical & Regulatory department is a lean yet high-performing team. The department is working as OneTeam with Cardiometabolic Marketing, Cardiometabolic Sales, and many other teams’ on a local and international level. As Regional Medical Adviser, you will play an integral role in driving strategic scientific partnerships and contributing to the development and execution of Medical Affairs strategy supporting Novo Nordisk therapy areas for the benefit of patients with serious chronic diseases.

 

Your skills & qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Education: Medical doctor, Pharmacist or Natural Sciences diploma, fluent in English and Bulgarian;
  • Experience in a health-related system, pharmaceutical company or clinical practice is an advantage.
  • Experience in the field of cardiometabolic medicine (diabetes, obesity, CVD, dyslipidaemia) is an advantage.
  • Understanding of local pharmaceutical market (advantage);
  • Very good presentation and communication skills as well as good in establishing, developing and maintenance of relationships.

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 35,100.00 to 59,650.00 EUR, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level,  location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
