Legal and Compliance Manager South Balkan

The position

As a Legal & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible and will manage all legal affairs in South Balkan Cluster, as well as ensure compliance with relevant laws and legislation across relevant countries, in cooperation with Novo Nordisk A/S and represent Novo Nordisk at key external legal meetings to develop professional network, share best practices and increase profile of Novo Nordisk legal and compliance function. You will also be a key driver and manage daily legal and compliance challenges with the affiliates comprising the South Balkan Cluster. You will be further strengthening and developing the network of external legal counsels and report/actively take part and be involved in internal legal and compliance network and cooperation with other colleagues. Moreover, you will devise, implement and continuously refine South Balkans cluster Legal and Compliance strategy with continued improvement of business processes in South Balkans cluster both internally and externally. 

Your main accountabilities will be to: 

•    Ensure alignment on legal and compliance matters with Business Area Europe East (BA East) and responsibility for all legal and compliance matters arising in and out of South Balkans cluster.
•    Provide strategic legal direction including co-ordination of contracting with health insurance funds. Negotiate and approve agreements in all kinds of stakeholder interactions 
•    Overall responsibility for providing legal advice to South Balkans cluster as well as legal support to South Balkans cluster Management Teams.
•    Managing contracts support for affiliates, participation in affiliates’ projects as legal and compliance adviser and business partner, independent identification, direction and coordination of external law firms working for Business Area.
•    Participation as South Balkans cluster representative at Cluster East and BA East meetings   

Qualifications

As a Legal & Compliance Manager, you need to have degree from Faculty of Law, Magister Juris, preferably LL.M. degree; Bar exam is a must.   In addition, you need to have more than 5 years at law firm and/or in-house experience.

To be successful in this role, you should have: 
•    Solution oriented mindset
•    Knowlede in pharmaceutical regulation and business transactions 
•    Knowledge and experience of litigation and dispute resolution focusing on drug advertisement matters as well as experience with corporate and commercial law, competition law, personal data protection and intellectual property law
•    Experience with business ethics and compliance in pharmaceutical or medical devices industry (incl. codes of conduct, FCPA, UK Anti-Bribery Act
•    Stakeholder management
•    Proven track record in driving continuous improvement and change, along with the ability to stay up to date on changes in the legal & compliance field
•    Strong business partnering and are able to build working relationships at all levels in a fast-paced working environment
•    Positive attitude and can handle stress effectively, especially in high-pressure situations with strict timelines
•    Proficiency in working with IT systems
•    North Macedonian language and English-business fluent both conversationally and in writing. 
•    Knowledge of ex-Yugoslav languages is an advantage
