Senior Commercial & Medical Excellence Manager, APAC

Work at the heart of commercial and medical strategy in one of Novo Nordisk’s fastest-growing regions. In this role, you’ll turn data into action, bridge regional priorities with local realities, and directly influence how we serve millions of patients across APAC. This is a strategic position where your insights will shape execution, your recommendations will reach leadership tables, and your work will make a tangible difference in performance outcomes.

Your new role

As Senior Commercial & Medical Excellence Manager for APAC, you’ll be the connector between data, strategy, and real-world execution. You’ll work across priority therapy areas and affiliates to identify what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to change. This isn’t a desk-bound analytics role—it’s about rolling up your sleeves, partnering with teams on the ground, and driving improvements that stick.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing a clear regional view of commercial and medical execution performance across priority APAC affiliates and therapy areas using customer engagement and performance data
  • Identifying execution gaps in areas such as field force deployment, segmentation, targeting, activity planning, campaign execution, and digital channel engagement
  • Translating complex customer engagement data (CRM, OCE) into simple business implications and practical, actionable recommendations
  • Partnering with affiliate teams to align on execution gaps, co-create action plans, and monitor progress—ensuring insights move from analysis to real business impact
  • Supporting better use of commercial and medical execution KPIs in business reviews, performance discussions, and regional follow-ups
  • Building stronger regional execution standards while adapting recommendations to local market realities and varying levels of affiliate maturity
  • Working closely with APAC Customer Engagement & Capabilities, Marketing, Medical, and affiliate leadership teams to influence without formal authority

Your new department

As part of International Operations, you will join our largest operational unit. Covering 194 countries and 95% of the world’s population, more than 18,000 of us work passionately to serve 35 million patients each day. With a promise to outperform the competition, we continue to be the growth driver for Novo Nordisk, and to improve health at scale across the globe.

Within International Operations, the APAC region represents one of our fastest-growing markets. You’ll be part of the Customer Engagement & Capabilities team—a function that sits at the intersection of strategy, data, and execution. Commercial Excellence is a hot topic among leadership, which means your work will have visibility, your voice will be heard, and opportunities to collaborate with senior stakeholders across affiliates will be plentiful. Your manager runs the team with high standards, a focus on results, and a positive, empowering spirit that gives you freedom with responsibility.

Your skills & qualifications

We’re looking for someone who is as comfortable with data as they are with people—a hybrid commercial excellence and customer insights professional who knows how to turn analysis into action.

(Please note, you must hold either Singaporean Citizenship or Permanent Residency to be eligible to apply to this position)

Specifically, you’ll bring:

  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience in commercial excellence, field force effectiveness, customer engagement, business analytics, commercial operations, or related roles, ideally in a regional or multi-market environment
  • Strong understanding of commercial and medical execution, including HCP customer engagement, segmentation, targeting, activity planning, field force execution, campaigns, messaging, and channel engagement
  • Proven ability to work with business and customer engagement data to identify performance gaps and translate them into practical, business-relevant actions
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without formal authority, and a track record of partnering with affiliate or country teams to drive execution improvements
  • Strong technical skills including advanced Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, scenario analysis), Power BI or similar dashboarding tools, and experience with Veeva CRM or similar CRM platforms
  • Pharma or healthcare experience is preferred, though strong experience from other industries with advanced commercial analytics or sales effectiveness models will also be considered
  • A commercially strong, business-oriented mindset combined with analytical rigor, comfort with ambiguity, and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively
  • Willingness to travel across APAC affiliates as needed
