About the department
The People and Organisation (P&O) department in the APAC region is devoted to advancing business objectives with a strategic aspiration for Novo Nordisk to be a sustainable employer and offer a workplace that is inclusive and diverse. Our department plays a crucial role in ensuring the organisation's effectiveness for the success and growth of Novo Nordisk in the APAC markets. You will be a part of the APAC People & Organisation (P&O) leadership team and will report directly to the Vice President of People & Organisation, APAC. 

 

The position
As the Organization Development Director, you will be based in Singapore, which is the APAC regional headquarters. You will be in charge of the organizational and leadership effectiveness in the APAC region. Partner with senior management and P&O staff, provide OD consulting, leadership development and talent management solutions to increase the effectiveness across all affiliates. Drive initiatives that support agility, effectiveness, sustainable employee engagement and the long-term business success of the Region. Details of expectations are as follows but is not limited to:

  • Organizational Development: Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the organization’s design aligns with its long-term business strategy and goals. Develop and implement new organizational structures, reporting lines, roles, and responsibilities to improve workflow, communication, and overall efficiency. Collaborates with P&O leads and management teams to develop scalable solutions by leveraging existing interventions and partnerships with Centers of Excellence.
  • Talent Development & Succession: Work with business and P&O leaders to establish necessary capabilities for business objectives. Identify and support high-potential talent, drive talent management initiatives, and align regional initiatives with Centers of Excellence in People Development, Talent, and Performance & Culture and effectively translate regional initiatives across the APAC area.
  • Diversity & Inclusion Partner: Embed Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) practices into talent and culture initiatives. Implement a tailored DEIB plan for APAC and foster an inclusive internal culture. Lead the Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce/Council and develop local DEIB councils and Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).
  • Novo Nordisk (NN) Way & Culture: Act as the primary contact for Novo Nordisk's culture transformation in APAC. Manage investigation cases related to harassment and breaches of the NN Way, ensuring accountability and proper communication. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Must have an or a master’s degree in business administration or psychology, Organisational Behaviour, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in organizational design, consulting, or related fields, with a track record of successful organizational transformations.
  • In-depth knowledge of organizational design principles, frameworks, and tools.
  • Previous experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner (HRBP) in a larger organisation is an advantage.
  • Expertise in change management and workforce optimization.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
