About the department
You will join the Novo Nordisk Singapore Market Access and Public Affairs team, which supports both Singapore and Brunei. This role will report directly to the Country Manager. Our team is focus on driving market access and public affairs initiatives to ensure that patients have access to Novo Nordisk's innovative medicines. The position
As a Market Access and Public Affairs Manager, you will be in charge of maximizing access to Novo Nordisk medicines through submissions and post-recommendation activities for new products, supporting products throughout their lifecycle, and engaging with public affairs and advocacy stakeholders to shape federal and state healthcare policy and improve the lives of people with chronic diseases.

  • Prepare high-quality reimbursement submissions, responses, and reviews; design and implement health economic data collection projects; conduct clinical and cost data research; develop modelling strategies for health economic assessments; and create publication and reimbursement strategies to support key products and disease areas.
  • Develop supporting materials with sales and marketing teams, research and influence customer groups, execute market access projects, present findings to stakeholders, maintain role-specific databases, and ensure compliance with corporate quality management standards.
  • Develop and implement public affairs strategies in collaboration with commercial teams to build trusted, long-term relationships with advocacy stakeholders. Maintain sustainable relationships through continuous engagement and stakeholder mapping, identifying gaps and opportunities for Novo Nordisk to influence policy and decision-making processes.
  • Partner with external stakeholders and patient organizations to implement joint advocacy initiatives and platforms that improve the lives of people with chronic diseases, ensuring these conditions are prioritized within the healthcare system. Actively contribute to APAC and global public affairs networks to share best practices and insights.
  • Monitor the external health and policy environment to generate actionable public affairs insights, support affiliate communication strategies, and manage assigned budgets. Ensure all activities comply with legal, ethical, and corporate compliance standards.

 

Qualifications

  • A qualification in Science, Medicine, Pharmacy, or Health Economics is desired. A postgraduate degree in Health Economics, Medical Science (Drug Development), Statistics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Public Policy, Communication, or a related field is is considered beneficial.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including those at the executive level.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare policy and systems, with demonstrated ability to engage and influence decision-makers and key stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to craft effective internal and external messaging, coupled with strong project management capabilities.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a related field.
