About the department
The APAC Cardiometabolic Marketing team is responsible for driving marketing strategies and tactics in support of our cardiometabolic brands and development compounds. Our team works in close collaboration with Global, International Operations and affiliates marketing organizations, and supports the operational excellence of our commercial front-line. The position
As a Cardiometabolic Marketing Director, your main role will be to identify and pursue commercial opportunities for current and future cardiometabolic assets, in collaboration with cross-functional teams across APAC. You will provide strategic direction and commercial expertise around the cardiometabolic portfolio, supporting the development and implementation of go-to-market strategies for current and future products. You will also lead regional capability building efforts, and provide intelligence and insights within the cardiometabolic space, ensuring strong collaboration with Global, International Operations, regional and affiliates teams. The position will report to the Senior Director, Cardiometabolic Marketing for Region APAC.

Your main duties include:

  • Lead the definition and execution of commercial cardiometabolic initiatives and projects, in alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Champion cardiometabolic mindset and customer-centricity across functions and therapy areas.
  • Identify business opportunities to maximize the potential of current and future products, with strong focus on patients and customer needs.
  • Manage the cross-functional launch review process with affiliates, ensuring sound go-to-market models and commercial readiness.
  • Lead adaptation and implementation of global initiatives across APAC, while providing commercial inputs and insights in key planning processes.

 

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred.
  • 10+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years of recent marketing experience strongly preferred.
  • A proven track record in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies. Direct experience in cardiometabolic, especially diabetes, is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership experience and cross-functional collaboration, resulting in business growth. Experience working across multiple countries and cultures is preferred.
