The position
The Senior HR Business Partner will integrate global and affiliate business strategies with HR strategies and organizational needs to develop HR solutions and plans. This position will work closely with the line of business to attract, engage, develop, and retain top talent for short- and long-term business success. It will play a pivotal role in establishing Human Resources Management (HRM), Human Resources Development (HRD), and HR project strategies for the Korea Affiliate. Overall, this position is critical to the success of HR in Korea and will help to build organizational capabilities and achieve business goals.
Your key tasks will include: 

  • Project Management with Business Partnership: Facilitate HR strategy aligning with the priorities of the company business and operation working with internal stakeholders as a reliable HR advisor. Drive the business projects (change management, restructures, role changes and calculated initiatives) as well as lead HR projects with HR Team or Task Force Team (TFT).
  • Culture and Employees Engagement (1): Lead Organization Development Plan, Talent Review guideline & process through the analysis and assessment of organizational structure, headcount allocation and staff cost in line with the global strategy. Coach People Managers on performance management and Individual Development Plan (IDP) aligning with Center of Excellence (COE) for Talent Development and Total reward. Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen Leadership development culture based on the competency framework. 
  • Culture and Employees Engagement (2): Assist with the line of business to know their training requirements and draft the plan/career roadmap for efficient implementation. Facilitate development and implementation of employer branding proposition of the affiliate. Partner with business to lead Employee Engagement survey and implement follow up actions as well as participate in negotiation meetings with labor union and manage employee relation issues.
  • Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition in establishing and implementating of Talent Attraction strategies including onboarding process. Work closely with Hiring Managers to work on their requirements in a timely manner.
  • People Management: Lead team members who are in charge for HR Analytics, Total Remuneration including compensation and benefits by guiding HR strategies including policies, guideline, practices, and audit process as well as provide insight reports as required to meet the needs of the company, APAC, and local management.

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, HR, Communication, Psychology, or any equivalent degree with 10 years of progressive and relevant experience in a multinational company, preferably in the various industries’ experiences
  • Experience and familiarity with a unionized working environment are required.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in project management, organizational development, culture and engagement, change management, leadership and talent development, and workforce management with strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to translate business needs into impactful people strategies.
  • Ability to navigate and deliver results in a complex, matrix environment with excellent stakeholder management.
  • Fluent in Korean & English with excellent communication skills (all levels of management and employees).
