The position

In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation of financial activities by maintaining meticulous order, preventing unexpected issues, and upholding compliance standards through accurate submissions. You will oversee financial operations, delivering timely reporting and cohering to company's finance objectives, Novo Nordisk principles, and legal regulations. Additionally, you will establish a secure financial control environment, implementing efficient procedures and managing tax reporting in alignment with guidelines.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Perform comprehensive financial reporting in compliance with corporate guidelines and local regulations, encompassing annual, tax, and statutory reports.
  • Manage a team of accounting staff, overseeing their tasks and ensuring efficient people management practices.
  • Conduct month-end reporting procedures, including reconciliations, Internal Control Questionnaire (ICQ), and participation in local projects related to accounting, tax, and SAP alignment.
  • Collaborate external and internal audits, collaborating with PwC, local tax authorities, and Group Internal Audit to alleviate risks and ensure compliance.
  • Drive standardization and efficiency initiatives across the business area, maintaining a robust financial control environment and reporting to headquarters and local tax offices as necessary.

 

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification with a bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Administration.
  • Strong accounting and/or tax knowledge and experience (Minimum 7-8 years) in global pharmaceutical or healthcare industries, including consumer healthcare and medical devices.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of people management experience.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
