As Medical Advisor, Obesity and MASH, you will lead affiliate medical strategy and scientific excellence in obesity and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) in Korea. You will guide priority medical projects from planning to launch readiness. You will also turn expert insight and emerging evidence into clear recommendations that shape medical and business strategy. Working closely with Regional Medical Advisors, you will help make sure scientific exchange is balanced, compliant and useful to the people who treat obesity and MASH.

What you’ll bring

You bring the medical and scientific depth to lead strategy, and the communication skills to make complex data clear and balanced. You will need:

• A medical degree (MD) or a PhD, pharmacy degree or scientific research background with solid medical expertise.

• More than 5 years of Corporate Medical affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a related disease area.

• Blended experiences with Field Medical experience (e.g. MSL) are highly preferred as compared to purely in-house roles. A solid understanding of the role and Medical affairs activities in pharmaceutical industry is required. Also the understanding of different therapy areas and the phases of the product lifecycle is required.

• Excellent medical communication skills, with the ability to present emerging data in a balanced and accessible way.

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

Useful, but not essential:

• Experience in cardiometabolic and related disease areas.

What you’ll do

You will lead the medical strategy for obesity and MASH in Korea, from early planning through launch and beyond, and make sure every activity is built on sound science and strong ethical standards.

• Lead priority medical projects from strategic planning through execution, evaluation and follow-up, including launch preparation and cross-functional scientific strategy.

• Develop scientific agendas, content, materials and speaker preparation for key medical activities, advisory boards, launch symposia and external scientific engagement.

• Spend up to 30% of your time in the field, engaging priority national and regional external experts through scientific exchange, insight generation and strategic relationship development.

• Collect medical insights and translate them into actionable recommendations, making sure they are documented, discussed and used to inform medical and business strategy.

• Lead publication planning and support evidence generation, including collaboration with real-world evidence (RWE) teams and follow-up of investigator-sponsored study (ISS) opportunities.

• Keep Regional Medical Advisors and cross-functional colleagues scientifically prepared through congress updates, disease-area knowledge and balanced interpretation of emerging data – always in line with Novo Nordisk principles, local regulations, industry codes and business ethics requirements.

Who you’ll work with

You will join the Medical Affairs department at Novo Nordisk Korea in Seoul, part of International Operations. The team leads scientific communication and medical strategy for the affiliate and works in a fast-paced environment where high medical standards and close collaboration go hand in hand.

Your closest partners will be the field-based Regional Medical Advisors, who you will support with medical guidance and scientific preparedness. You will also work with cross-functional colleagues across the affiliate and with real-world evidence teams. Externally, you will build relationships with priority national and regional experts in obesity and MASH.

These relationships connect what you hear in the field with the decisions made inside Novo Nordisk – helping the team move from insight to action with clarity and speed.
