About the department
The Corporate Affairs department at Novo Nordisk Korea plays a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance and shaping future regulatory frameworks. Our team is responsible for gaining regulatory approval for clinical trial applications, new drugs, devices, and digital health solutions. We work closely with health authorities and policymakers to expand the availability of existing products and safeguard patient safety through our Safety Pharmacovigilance function. Located in Korea, our department thrives in a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere, where your contributions will make a significant impact on our mission to deliver innovative solutions for patients. This position will be reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs.
The position
As a Government Affairs Manager, you will:
- Develop and execute a government affairs strategy aligned with corporate and business goals, identifying policy opportunities and risks while creating plans to address them.
- Translate global strategies into innovative local government affairs activities, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders such as MoHW, KDCA, and the National Assembly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop advanced solutions for patient activation and access, while working closely with the Corporate Affairs team to establish policy positions and manage issues or crises.
- Monitor healthcare and access policy directions, providing valuable insights to the company
- Supervise the Public Affairs Manager to create synergies between Government Affairs and Public Affairs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher with 15+ years of experience in Government, Public, or Corporate Affairs, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry; policy-shaping experience is a plus.
- Strong ability to analyze policy insights, understand business needs and challenges, and develop strategic, long-term solutions.
- Proven agility and flexibility in adapting to changing policy environments while ensuring excellence in execution and driving quality decisions.
- Effective collaboration with stakeholders, influencing others with vision and purpose to advance corporate and policy objectives.
- Fluency in English and Korean, with strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
