The role will be part of the Supply Chain Management Business Unit and will be reporting to the Sr Director F&O (Finance & Operations).

 

The position

As a Supply Chain Manager, you will encompass establishing and executing the supply chain strategy to align with business objectives and regulatory standards. This entails offering leadership and expertise to the affiliate's supply chain operations and effectively managing the supply chain team to ensure alignment with strategic goals. Additionally, you must ensure that all team members comprehend their responsibilities, possess development plans, and adhere to the NNWay principles in their conduct.

Other role expectations are as follows but is not limited to:

  • Collaborate with business partners to establish sales forecasts, drive the monthly S&OP review, and oversee the SOE model to address demand/supply imbalances. Lead Affiliate Task Forces to manage supply constraints and ensure optimal availability during planning constraints. Ensure timely collaboration for new product launches and discontinuations with Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and Regulatory departments.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring product availability while optimizing stock levels to prevent stockouts and meet local regulatory requirements, thus optimizing working capital. Regularly review inventory policies and key supply parameters. Manage stock expiration and minimize wastage, particularly for launch orders and slow-moving products. Additionally, manage relationships and operations with third-party logistic providers and other relevant vendors, ensuring agreed KPIs are met, and costs remain competitive.
  • In charge of managing relationships and operations with wholesalers or designated customers to ensure agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. Where necessary, ensure the existence of current and relevant agreements with all customers receiving supplied products.
  • Responsible for continuously improving supply chain performance and strategy alignment, serving as the main contact for stakeholders and collaborating with internal teams to streamline operations. Additionally, drive or participate in projects and provide timely business updates to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance by producing and storing documentation according to internal and external standards and executing relevant SOPs promptly. Contribute to internal and external audits as necessary, ensuring compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for both the affiliate and vendors. Maintain Novo Nordisk's quality and regulatory standards in line with company requirements.

 

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum bachelor’s education in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent disciplines.
  • More than +15 years’ experience with MNC pharma supply chain in the country is a requirement.
  • Must have experience with Supply Chain processes. Internal and external senior stakeholder management, or experience working with pharma distributor.
  • Must possess a positive mindset and attitude, adept at navigating complex scenarios like product recalls, supply shortages, and launches, while driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Language fluency in both Korean and English is a requirement.
