Your new role
Currently we are looking for candidates for Diabetes Business unit. The main sales territory area for this position is Seoul and Gyeonggi area. This position is a 1-year contract-based position.
The key responsibility of this position is to create, develop and execute business strategies for our new products and services within an assigned geographic area, establish local relationships, secure sales target and operation profit target, while directing staff in accordance with marketing strategies. Additional responsibilities will include improving sales force effectiveness, setting up and managing KOLs, and having close cooperation with cross functional departments.
Key tasks include, but not limited to:
- Secure sales target and operation profit target by managing sales activities and securing return on investment. Manage direction of sales staff in accordance with marketing strategy by coaching sales staff to implement marketing activities with right way in field, training product knowledge or other skills to match marketing strategy towards sales activity.
- Improving sales force effectiveness by strengthening continuous improvement of customer segmentation and targeting, improving activity effectiveness under strict code of conduct, implementing fair appraisal and reward system. Set up & manage KOLs by developing KOL group to ensure product sales, maintaining close relationship with KOLs to enhance company image. Close cooperation with cross functional departments with internal communication to create synergic effect on sales and support to get maximized effect for cross functional departments.
- Develop sales force employees, ensure engagement, e.g. by coaching efficiently, good performance management and incentive system. Collaborate cross functional. Develop, implement and ensure execution of national sales plan based on and aligned with the marketing strategy. Propose and implement a competitive commercial strategy (tender management). Ensure competitiveness of sales force (productivity, profiling, segmentation, resource allocation, Key account management). Ensure quality of message to be sent by sales force employees. Ensure optimal IT use/minimize administrative burden. Lead and direct output and sales statistics. Work according to Business Ethics procedures. Work according to local law, Novo Nordisk Way and NN policies & guidelines.
- Ensure KOL management within sales force with interact with key contacts. Participate in and contribute effectively to national conferences and other NN meetings. Cross functional working groups in the affiliate/Business Area. Active member in the sales Management team.
- Monitor and evaluate the business environment and adjust sales plans accordingly. Propose new ways and pilot new ways of dealing with customers. Use e-wise innovations to increase sales force efficiency.

Your skills & qualifications
To succeed in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent educational background.
- 2–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales with a proven track record of performance; experience in clinic channels is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of marketing or medical experience is an added advantage.
- Experience in both hospital and clinic business is required; prior experience in global pharmaceutical multinational corporations (MNCs) is highly preferred.
- Established KOL networks in Seoul/Gyeonggi Province and a good command of English are considered additional advantages.
