Medical Affairs Department

Field-based role

Your impact begins here

As a Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL), you will bring scientific evidence in diabetes, obesity and other cardiometabolic diseases to the healthcare professionals who rely on it every day. We are filling two positions in Santiago, each with a distinct focus: one will expand engagement with non-traditional opinion leaders and healthcare professionals through digital and emerging channels, while the other will strengthen our established field MSL model. Across both roles, we are looking for people who can adapt and innovate in scientific dialogue, embracing new models of leadership and engagement to help clinicians make well-informed decisions for people living with serious chronic diseases.

What you’ll bring

You are a healthcare professional who turns evidence into clear conversations. You will need:

  • A health degree: physician, midwife, nurse, nutritionist, psychologist, biochemist or pharmaceutical chemist.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience in an MSL or similar role.
  • Intermediate–advanced English (required) to read papers and complete global training and assessments.
  • Strong ethics and compliance in the field.
  • Clear, effective communication.
  • Teamwork across functions.
  • Initiative to solve problems within compliance rules.
  • Fast learning in new situations. A cognitive assessment is part of the process.
  • Digital and innovation skills, essential for the digital position.

What you’ll do

Your time will be split between field engagement and building capabilities inside the company. You will also manage regional medical education activities.

  • Share scientific evidence on diabetes, obesity and other cardiometabolic diseases with healthcare professionals, working in coordination with medical managers.
  • Build trusted scientific relationships with opinion leaders and healthcare professionals.
  • Plan and run regional medical education activities, from preparing speakers and shaping the scientific narrative to delivering the events.
  • Carry out scientific communication plans that fit our medical and commercial strategies.
  • Build internal capabilities by training the sales force and providing medical information when asked for it, without promoting products.
  • Bring insights from the field back to the team and suggest practical improvements to how we engage the healthcare community.

Who you’ll work with

You will join the Medical Affairs team in Chile, where colleagues connect commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across therapy areas. The team designs and delivers the scientific communication strategy, builds relationships with opinion leaders, provides medical education to healthcare professionals and gives internal medical guidance through training and communication.

What you can expect here

You will be trusted to own your work in the field and to make your voice heard on how the team engages the healthcare community. As a medical professional, you will deepen your therapeutic expertise and build new skills through global training. You will also gain practical experience across field work, medical education and internal capability-building. If you hold the digitally focused position, you will help shape new channels and ways of working.

The work moves at pace and we keep standards high. Patient safety, ethics and quality are never compromised, and we expect you to act with clarity and urgency within them.
