Your new role
As a Regional Medical Advisor in Obesity and metabolic related therapeutic areas
, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the launch of Wegovy while building and maintaining strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in one of healthcare's most rapidly evolving therapy areas.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the successful launch and positioning of Wegovy in a highly competitive market environment
- Developing and maintaining strong scientific relationships with KOLs across the diabetes and obesity therapeutic areas
- Contributing to differentiation strategies that position our treatments against multiple competitors and biosimilars
- Delivering scientific insights and medical education to healthcare professionals
- Collaborating cross-functionally with commercial, clinical, and regulatory teams to drive therapeutic area excellence
- Providing field-based medical expertise and insights to inform strategic decision-making
- Staying at the forefront of metabolic disease science through continuous learning and engagement with the medical community
Your new department
Within the Diabetes & Obesity area, you'll join a dynamic Medical Affairs team dedicated to advancing scientific excellence in metabolic disease. As we enter an exciting phase with the Wegovy launch, our team is focused on building meaningful relationships with the medical community, generating clinical insights, and ensuring healthcare professionals have the knowledge they need to transform patient outcomes in obesity care.
Your skills & qualifications
We're looking for a Regional Medical Advisor who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about making a difference in metabolic health. You'll bring with you:
- Medical Doctor degree (mandatory requirement)
- Intermediate English proficiency, particularly reading comprehension (essential requirement)
- Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Regional Medical Advisor is highly valued
- Experience in metabolic therapeutic areas, ideally obesity, is a strong advantage
- Adaptability, resilience, and comfort navigating change in competitive markets
- Effective, assertive, and clear communication skills to engage diverse medical audiences
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving science
- Strong autonomy and self-management capabilities to work independently across a region
- Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions and within teams
