Your new role

This is the most strategically significant medical role in the business. You will own and drive the medical strategy for Novo Nordisk's cardiometabolic portfolio in Chile. With multiple product launches ahead in the near term, you will shape how we bring transformative therapies to patients while building deep scientific engagement across the healthcare community.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Leading the development and execution of the medical strategy for the cardiometabolic portfolio, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and scientific evidence
  • Driving scientific communication strategies across clinical trial phases, crafting impactful messaging for diverse audiences including Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare professionals
  • Building and maintaining strategic relationships with KOLs, scientific societies, and international professional associations to advance medical initiatives
  • Planning and delivering medical education programmes, advisory boards, and symposia to enhance healthcare professional knowledge and gather clinical insights
  • Defining and executing publication strategies, including real-world evidence publications, to advance scientific discourse
  • Co-creating and reviewing promotional materials to ensure they reflect the latest clinical data and compliance standards
  • Providing scientific training to field teams, ensuring evidence-based communication with healthcare professionals

 

Your new department

You will join the Medical Affairs Department in Chile, a team at the heart of our cardiometabolic strategy. This department plays a pivotal role in bridging science and commercial execution, engaging with key external stakeholders across diabetes, obesity, cardiology, and nephrology. As we prepare for multiple product launches, you will be instrumental in shaping how we bring the next generation of treatments to patients and healthcare professionals across the region.

 

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a senior medical affairs professional who thrives in a dynamic, high-impact environment and can lead strategy with autonomy and scientific rigour. You will bring:

 

Must-have:

  • University degree in health sciences or a related field (complete undergraduate degree required)
  • Proven experience as a Medical Manager or equivalent role within medical affairs in multinational pharmaceutical companies.
  • Track record of developing medical strategies and successfully participating in product launches.
  • Demonstrated experience working with medical stakeholders, scientific societies, and congresses
  • Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written).
  • Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives with autonomy, working across complex stakeholder landscapes

 

Nice-to-have:

  • Medical degree (highly desirable, not exclusive)
  • Experience in cardiometabolic therapeutic areas (diabetes, obesity, cardiology, nephrology).
  • Experience with biological products.
  • Exposure to multiple therapeutic areas and different portfolio types.
  • Experience navigating complex competitive scenarios.
