Vice President, Trial Operations EUCAN

Are you an experienced senior leader in clinical trial operations with a strong track record in organisational transformation, execution and people leadership? We are looking for a Vice President, Trial Operations EUCAN to join Global Trial Portfolio at Novo, based at our headquarters in Denmark and reporting to GVP Marianne Ølholm. 

 

Your new role 

As Vice President, Trial Operations EUCAN, you will translate Novo’s corporate strategy into regional trial execution that helps strengthen and expand our core portfolio in diabetes and obesity and build out future growth opportunities. You will lead a large, senior organisation to deliver the clinical trial portfolio with speed, quality, focus and performance discipline, while creating a scalable, future-ready operating model that helps Novo reach more patients and drive lasting health.  

 

Your new department 

Global Trial Portfolio enables Novo’s corporate strategy by turning therapeutic ambitions into high-quality clinical execution across geographies and therapy areas. Trial Operations EUCAN is accountable for regional execution excellence across a complex footprint, partnering closely with global project teams, medical and scientific functions, regulatory affairs, external partners and senior leadership. As Vice President, you will play a key role in transforming strategy to action, sharpening priorities and ensuring strong delivery across Novo’s evolving clinical portfolio. 

 

Your skills and qualifications

To succeed in this role, you hold a degree in a life sciences discipline (preferably a Masters, PhD, MD, PharmD, or equivalent) and bring extensive senior leadership experience in clinical operations within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry, spanning both early- and late-stage clinical development. 

 

You are an accomplished leader with a proven track record of leading large, international organizations across complex matrix structures, multiple geographies, and diverse therapy areas.

 

You combine deep knowledge of trial execution, quality, compliance and regulatory expectations with strategic business acumen, executive stakeholder management, strong prioritisation skills and the ability to mobilise teams around change, simplification and performance.
