The positions

Medical Writing at Novo Nordisk is expanding. As Novo Nordisk grows into new therapy areas and new indications, our Medical Writers are playing an increasingly central role in projects all the way from early development through to submission.


We are delighted to be offering positions at a range of seniority levels, and will be matching candidates with opportunities based on their skills and experience. Opportunities are available across our disease areas – diabetes, haemophlia, obesity, NASH, Cardiovascular disease and more.


The positions are office-based in Denmark, with flexibility for part-time homeworking. Our colleagues and stakeholders are diverse and many are based internationally.


Relocation support could be considered for highly qualified candidates with more than five years experience in regulatory Medical Writing.



The role

Medical Writers at Novo Nordisk are not only experts in scientific communication and regulatory documentation, but key players in project strategy. You will be an integral part of a project team and a strategic partner to diverse colleagues - Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations and Biostatistics to name a few. Your skill and insight will drive the documents that move a project from lab to trial to patient.


Your eye for innovation will drive us to deliver faster, better and more efficiently.


Experienced candidates can develop their leadership skills – for example by leading a Medical Writing project team – and can explore opportunities to specialise in a therapy area or process.



You have a Master’s degree within natural sciences (M.Sc., M.Sc. Pharm. or equivalent). Strong candidates will have a PhD in a relevant field or other experience providing a good understanding of clinical development, regulatory requirements and clinical data and documents.


Candidates for more senior positions will have at substantial experience in regulatory medical writing and a motivation to propel their career at Novo Nordisk.


As a person, you are a clear communicator who adapts easily to a changing environment with tight deadlines. You are strategic, proactive, and have excellent planning- and coordination skills with the competency to drive and engage teams. You effectively manage various stakeholders and are able to reach consensus. You are thorough and structured while being pragmatic and not afraid of challenging the status quo and you have a positive can-do attitude and a good sense of humour.


About the department
Clinical Reporting is the medical writing function at Novo Nordisk. Our main task is to communicate clinical data in a clear and concise manner. Our documents are intended for regulatory authorities and include protocols, clinical trial reports, investigator’s brochures, submission documents and other documents covering the interpretation and documentation of clinical data.
