Are you looking to apply your statistical expertise to help bring more effective treatments to people living with serious chronic diseases? Do you thrive in an inclusive, engaging, and global environment? If so, you could be one of our new colleagues in Søborg or Aalborg.
Your new role
We offer you the opportunity to join one of our project teams and contribute directly to the clinical development of new products. We are seeking a maternity cover for our cardiovascular disease project area, where several development programmes are currently ongoing. As a result, we have multiple clinical trials both underway and in planning. We are looking for a senior statistician to support this clinical trial development, and your key responsibilities will include:
- Representing Biostatistics in cross-functional trial teams, collaborating daily with data managers, clinical data scientists, medical doctors, safety surveillance advisers, and medical writers
- Taking an active role in evaluating clinical trial data and assessing the impact of data quality on statistical analyses
- Explaining statistical requirements and concepts to stakeholders including medical doctors and trial managers, translating complex methodology into actionable insights
- Providing input to and conducting specified statistical analyses, interpreting results, and reporting trial outcomes
- Preparing submissions for regulatory authorities, ensuring our documentation meets the highest standards
Depending on your experience, you will either drive or contribute to statistical analyses of clinical trials and provide statistical input to protocols while supporting the execution and reporting of studies. You will also support colleagues on other studies and handle ad hoc requests from internal collaborators and health authorities that require statistical expertise.
Your Skills and Qualifications
We're looking for a senior statistician who thrives in a collaborative scientific environment and is driven by the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to patient care.
Ideally, you should bring:
- MSc degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in biostatistics within the pharmaceutical area or PhD within clinical or biostatistical research
- Strong proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SAS, R) and statistical programming
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex statistical concepts clearly to non-statistical stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to independently structure, prioritize and manage workload effectively
- A collaborative mindset and proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
It will be a strong advantage if you have experience in:
- Project management and cross-functional collaboration
- Working within a global organisation in a highly regulated industry
Your new department
Our Biostatistics organisation consists of 180 people, with the majority located in Denmark, India, and the US. We primarily perform our statistical work in‑house, which means we offer a wide variety of statistical tasks and challenges and provide a large scientific community.
We always strive to create an inspiring working environment with a focus on collaboration and opportunities for personal growth and development. We foster a positive and informal atmosphere in our daily work and maintain a sustainable balance between work and other priorities.
