As our new Senior Project Management Professional, you will help shape how we deliver life‑changing treatments by acting as a trusted partner to senior leaders across GMA. You will drive continuous improvement, strong governance, and effective execution across budget, strategy, or process excellence, combining strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery to translate ambition into clear processes and tangible business impact.

 

Your new role

As a Senior Project Management Professional in Global Medical Affairs (GMA) Business Operations, you will be at the intersection of strategy, execution, and continuous improvement. Your expertise will directly influence how we operate across our global organisation, ensuring we deliver on our ambitious goals with precision and impact. Day-to-day you will:

  • Drive operational excellence by ensuring strong budget prioritisation and strategic alignment for GMA through the design, optimisation, and execution of effective business processes and solutions
  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation and deliver improvements that enhance efficiency, transparency, and business impact
  • Drive acceleration of cross-functional strategic projects by planning and managing complex projects and ad hoc initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, time, quality and budget constraints
  • Provide strategic support to senior leadership, enabling informed and timely decision‑making through strong governance, clear follow‑up, definition of annual strategies and deliverables, and effective use of internal communication channels
  • Act as direct responsible individual in budget, strategy, or process excellence
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation to foster trust, collaboration and alignment

 

Your new department

In Product & Portfolio Strategy we drive commercial strategy, medical affairs and business development across all therapy areas. We act as a connector and compass, guiding the new Novo Nordisk portfolio for sustained competitiveness upstream, and maximising portfolio potential through successful commercial strategies and competitive launches downstream.

 

Within Product & Portfolio Strategy, GMA Business Operations is at the heart of GMA, working closely with senior leaders to ensure that strategy translates into action through excellence in budget management, strategic planning, and process optimisation This role offers significant exposure, influence, and the opportunity to shape ways of working across a global organisation.

 

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for a strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic, high-impact environment and has:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, executive business support, finance or similar
  • A master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Finance, Engineering, Strategy, or a related field
  • Proven track record of managing projects within scope, time, quality and budget constraints
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities with talent for analysing complex business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement aligned with organisational goals
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience preparing high-quality presentations and reports for senior leadership
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities with ability to independently address challenges and provide solutions
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
