Your new role
As a Senior Program Manager in our Research & Development (R&D) data platform team (‘R&D DataCore’), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a strong and unified data foundation is available from early research throughout clinical studies towards regulatory submissions and life-cycle management.
You will join the R&D DataCore leadership team and own several critical capabilities and deliverables. You will manage business demand, drive operational excellence, ensure great performance and program governance, and lead finance and workforce management. You will also play an important role in defining the strategic narrative of R&D DataCore, ensure adoption and ensure a high-performing and social cohesive team culture.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Orchestrate business requests management by facilitating prioritisation, anchoring ownership, facilitating alignment with Product Managers on technical deliverables, and ultimately ensure an updated roadmap and transparency towards business stakeholders.
- Drive improvements on our operating model through focused initiatives to ensure services are relevant and valuable for our stakeholders delivered through an efficient and seamless set-up.
- Facilitate performance overview and governance reporting that ensures focus and executive transparency, including driving OKR definition and reporting, leading value realisation model and tracking, ensure capacity overview.
- Manage financials of the organisation including submitting annual budget and quarterly forecasts, ensure monthly accruals and capitalisation, managing vendor contracts and burndown tracking, conduct variance analysis and explanations, handling internal expense agreements.
- Drive community activities such as full-day team events, quarterly townhall calls, team surveys, and other activities that fosters a cohesive, high-performing culture.
- Support Product Director and leadership team in defining product vision, building strategic narrative, anticipating future needs, and on-going business case development and tracking.
- Support adoption approach and execution through data-driven and customer journey driven information, communication and guidance on relevant channels.
- Stay current on best practice for digital product operating model, data product concept and industry-leading data platform functionalities (in particular Databricks).
Your new department
You will join the Data Foundation & Engineering organisation in R&D that has the purpose to build and operate a strong data foundation across R&D to enhance data accessibility and quality to empower science, AI, and digital innovation. You will be fully allocated to the R&D DataCore virtual organisation that comprise people from across the AI & Digital Innovation (ADI) SVP area in R&D to bring the best capabilities together to solve the data needs of R&D.
Your skills & qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
- +3-5 years of experience as a Program Manager or in a similar leadership role within a digital or data product organisation, or experience as management consultant, ideally in a regulated industry such as life sciences.
- Possess strong skills in business demand management and prioritisation, with the ability to facilitate alignment across stakeholders and translate business needs into a transparent product roadmap.
- Be experienced in IT financial management, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, monthly accruals and capitalisation.
- Demonstrate competence in performance and governance reporting, including OKR definition and tracking and value realisation models.
- Have a track record of driving operating model improvements and operational excellence in a digital or data platform context.
- Bring excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage executive stakeholders, foster a cohesive and high-performing team culture, and lead community-building activities.
Furthermore, you have a solid understanding of modern digital product operating models and data product concepts, ideally with exposure to industry-leading data platforms (in particular Databricks). Experience with adoption and change management grounded in customer journey thinking, as well as strategic narrative and business case development, will be a strong advantage.

Salary: For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600.00 to 1,091,600.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.
Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
