The position
As Senior Product Owner for one of our site-facing clinical systems, you will play a central role in shaping how technology enables clinical operations. You will lead a cross-functional Development and Operations (DevOps) team, working within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to ensure ef-fective, GCP-compliant execution of clinical projects. Your responsibilities will include evaluating how technology can address current and future business needs, while aligning with Novo Nordisk’s long-term digital enablement strategy. You will collaborate with a broad range of inter-nal and external stakeholders who will rely on your business insight and your ability to connect operational needs with digital solutions and platforms.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:
• Acting as Product Owner for a scrum team working on one of our site-facing clinical sys-tems and collaborating closely with other relevant projects
•    Ensuring continuous product discovery while incorporating end-user perspectives
•    Maintaining an overview and prioritising upcoming activities
•    Analysing requirements and working with clinical operations and IT to implement priori-tised activities
•    Driving risk and impact assessments of new requirements
•    Defining and driving operational roll-out, support, and communication to end-users
•    Challenging future needs and ways of working 

In your role, you will work closely with product managers, scrum masters, subject matter experts, sas well as internal and external business users to understand business needs, as well as with colleagues in Development IT who handle IT development. You will also collaborate with relevant software vendors

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • An academic background in life sciences, or any other relevant field where validated sys-tems are common as part of a regulated environment
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management throughout the entire lifecycle of a clinical system—from ideation and development to implementation, maintenance, and eventual sunsetting of a system
  • Experience in trial management is considered a plus, along with familiarity with Agile methodologies and product development practices in a regulated environment
  • Strong stakeholder management competencies, with the ability to present complex mat-ters clearly and precisely, combined with a holistic approach that distinguishes needs from wants and an eye for simplification
  • You must be comfortable with challenging the status quo and making tough decisions. Above all, you are driven and eager to create a real impact for the business

The position as Product Owner is based in the Site Collaboration department within the Patient & Site Technology area, part of a unit called Process Transformation and Digitalisation, Global Trial Portfolio. Here, we leverage cutting-edge digital technology, data, and processes. Novo Nordisk drives clinical trials in more than 60+ countries and collaborates with over 10,000 sites at hospi-tals and clinics. Digitalisation is essential to our success, and our aspiration is to lead the digitali-sation of clinical development to provide innovative medicines faster for patients living with se-vere chronic diseases.

Our team has solid experience in developing and delivering digital processes and systems to support the Clinical Drug Development, and we work closely with stakeholders in headquarters in Denmark, Bangalore (India), and affiliates worldwide to ensure our new processes are simple, robust and fit-for-purpose.
