What’s in it for you? 

The position as Senior IT Solution Architect is anchored in our DD&IT Development area, and you will join a department of Domain and Solution Architects with focus on the setting the direction for the domain architecture across the agile delivery structures (ARTs, Teams of Teams, etc.) and other digital initiatives within the Development business area.  
 

In you day to day work you will work connecting agile release trains and digital initiatives, in the ongoing digital transformation from siloed data transformation to an automation framework driven out of the use of clinical data standards. The work is aligned industry collaboration around Digital Data Flow,  

 

In Novo Nordisk we have been on this journey for some years through the work in OpenStudyBuilder where we are now extending this work to the Clinical Data Acquisition to enable the utilisation of the higher level of data standardization in our clinical processes. As part of the OpenStudyBuilder initiative, you will be working on bringing this game changing vision to life leveraging an industry leading open-source solution and connecting it to our emerging new digital landscape as. In close collaboration with your data standards architect colleague on the StudyBuilder initiative, architect colleagues in the department, as well as the central architecture function, you will be responsible for the long-term, strategic outlook for the architectural landscape covering the solution vision, intent, roadmap, and the architectural runway for metadata driven integrations. 

 

Candidate profile 

We prefer you have a master’s degree within Computer Science, Engineering, IT or similar and you can tick off most of the following:  

  • Experience with SaaS, cloud infrastructure (Azure and AWS), DataBricks or similar 
  • Experience with modern integration patterns (APIs, streaming) and metadata driven integrations.  
  • Proven as a strong collaborator to connect the implementation teams, the domain expert to the business stakeholders 
  • Experience as an IT Architect, and you have knowledge about working in an agile setup 
  • 5+ years of experience within modern IT infrastructure and integration 
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical industry preferably within clinical development 
  • Experience with Agile delivery models 

 

You have strong communication skills, in both written and verbal form and you can listen and understand the IT and business complexities and translate these into opportunities. You also have strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including suppliers and partners, ensuring solutions meet the diverse needs of the organisation – it is key that you can connect the implementation teams, the domain experts and the business stakeholders. You can articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making and fostering a shared understanding of solution initiatives at all relevant levels – both deep technically and at the business decision level.
