What’s in it for you? 

The position as Senior IT Solution Architect is anchored in our DD&IT Development area, and you will join a department of Domain and Solution Architects with focus on setting the direction for the domain architecture across the across the agile delivery structures (Agile Release Trains (ARTs), Teams of Teams, etc.)  and other digital initiatives within the Development business area. Your main assignment will be to work as System Architect in one of our ARTs, where you will work closely with the release train engineer and the product manager leading the implementation decisions and solution design across the impacted value chain, e.g. the next generation clinical data acquisition.   
 
Your responsibilities include:  

• Working closely with the ART leadership team as well as the ART stakeholders to ensure alignment in decisions and solutions across the Release train, other digital initiatives and stakeholders both in IT and Business 
• Defining and communicating the shared technical and architectural vision across the ART and relevant stakeholders 
• Defining and communicating the actual solution architecture to support the business strategies in collaboration with the teams working on the implementation both inside as well as outside the ART 
• across one of our ARTs in Development and define, communicate and communicate the solution architecture  
• Steering the technical teams in day-to-day requests to get decisions linked to the overall target architecture as well as DD&IT Development technical decisions 
• You proactively seek opportunities for optimizations – e.g., process/system/platform/data flow improvements or alignments and that you are keeping yourself up to date on new technology trends and industry standard 
• You will be working with portfolio stakeholders as well as Line of Business and suppliers to align the architectural direction with the solution intent

Candidate profile 

We prefer you have a master’s degree within Computer Science, Engineering, IT or similar and you can tick off most of the following:  

• Experience with SaaS solutions such as Veeva, cloud infrastructure (Azure and AWS), DataBricks, and modern integration patterns (APIs, streaming) is preferred
• Experience as an IT Architect, and you have knowledge about working in an agile setup 
• 5+ years of experience within modern IT infrastructure and integrations 
• Experience from the pharmaceutical industry preferably within clinical development 
• Aptitude for identifying complex IT challenges and devising innovative solutions that drive operational improvements and business growth 

You also have strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including suppliers and partners, ensuring solutions meet the diverse needs of the organisation. You are able to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making and fostering a shared understanding of solution initiatives at all relevant levels – both deep technically and at the business decision level.
