Patients’ perspectives and experiences are important focus areas for Novo Nordisk when developing better treatments for people living with serious chronic disease. This is the opportunity to incorporate patient perspectives into clinical drug development through the utilization of clinical outcomes assessments (COA) in the role as Senior COA Manager.

 

Your new role

As Senior COA Manager you will have a pivotal role in developing COA strategies and will be responsible for the selection, modification, development, validation, and implementation of fit-for-purpose COAs in clinical trials. Your engagement will encompass the entire drug development life cycle across Novo Nordisk's portfolio, from early planning and execution to the development of COA dossiers and other regulatory briefing books, as well as supporting the communication of COA outcomes through publications.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders from Medical, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, Biostats, Clinical Operations, Outsourcing, Medical Affairs, and Marketing, as well as various external vendors and advisors

 

Your new department

We are a passionate team of 10 colleagues with keen insight and experience in the COA field, in-trial interviews as well as Patient Preference Studies focusing on adding Patient perspectives for Regulatory Risk benefit assessment. We are passionate about science and bringing the patients’ perspectives at the heart of everything and committed to supporting each other in achieving professional development goals while also focusing on a balanced work life. Organisationally we are placed in Global Medical Affairs but are working closely with stakeholders across the organisation as we collaborate and support all development assets across the Novo Nordisk project portfolio.

 

Your skills & qualifications

You hold a university master's or above degree in a relevant research field such as health economics, pharmacy, public health, psychology, or epidemiology and bring demonstrated experience in COA development within drug development.

Moreover, we expect you to have:

  • Demonstrated experience in COA development and validation methods with knowledge of collection, analysis, and reporting of qualitative and quantitative data. Experience within a pharmaceutical industry context, is considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience within clinical drug development and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated capability to translate new insights from a fast‑moving internal and external environment into actionable solutions, with patient experience continuously guiding outcomes
  • Proactive mindset, action-oriented, and self-aware.
  • Fluent in oral and written English

As a person you are optimistic and forward‑thinking, with a strong ability to think beyond conventional approaches and identify innovative solutions in a team‑oriented environment. You have a high degree of independence and the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, and balance workload and timelines. You are a lifelong learner and welcome the opportunity to develop new skills and gain further experience in patient focused drug development.
