Your new role

We are seeking an experienced individual to contribute to high‑impact activities across the incretin portfolio. As a Safety Surveillance Specialist, you will ensure relevant input to our continued development activities and act as a trusted safety partner to key stakeholders. Clear communication, sound judgement, and taking ownership will be essential parts of your workday.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare safety contributions to study reports, regulatory submissions, protocols, and other key documents
  • Lead strategic and scientifically responses to safety Q&A from all HA interactions
  • Lead analytical and medical evaluation of aggregate safety data
  • Represent Safety Surveillance in cross-functional project teams and at external meetings
  • Work closely with colleagues across Clinical Development, Medical & Science, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, and other functional areas
  • Contribute to benefit–risk communication and ensure clear, aligned and timely safety messaging for internal stakeholders and Health Authorities

You will establish strong partnerships with key functional areas across Novo Nordisk—especially Medical & Science—while ensuring timely decisions and high scientific quality.

 

Your new department

Safety Surveillance Post-Marketing is an area within Global Patient Safety and is situated in Søborg, Denmark. We also have a department in Bangalore, India. Our dedicated and skilled professionals have global responsibility for the portfolio of marketed products. The area consists of 7 teams across Denmark and India.

 

In the Post-Marketing Cardiometabolic III team, we are the bridge between clinical development and post marketing. We handle clinical studies and submissions and lead strategic, scientific responses to safety Q&A from Health Authorities around the world on our semaglutide portfolio.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for an experienced, scientifically driven colleague with a collaborative mindset, who thrives on tackling complex safety challenges and turning data into meaningful insights.

 

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

  • A master’s degree in Life Sciences (e.g. Pharmacy, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, or Biology); a PhD and/or specialist clinical experience is considered an advantage
  • Solid experience within drug safety, pharmacovigilance, drug development processes, global regulatory requirements, GxP standards, and medical concepts
  • Proven ability to identify challenges, shape strategies, and translate them into clear, actionable steps
  • Strong stakeholder management and the ability to influence decisions through clear, concise communication
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, and to translate complexity into clear recommendations
  • A self-driven, ethical, and adaptable approach — you work independently, address issues proactively, and maintain flexibility when situations or priorities change
  • A true team player who demonstrates empathy, takes care of colleagues, builds effective connections, and collaborates seamlessly with both internal and external stakeholders

Salary:  For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600.00 to 1,091,600.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.

The placement within the salary range will be assessed during the recruitment process based on the candidate’s skills, competencies, knowledge, and relevant experience.

 

Incentives and Benefits: The salary package may include short-term and/or long-term incentives as well as other employee benefits based on position level, location, functional area and relevant market benchmarks.
